Always a classic, I remember when I was young when this movie would follow "A Christmas Story", always fun at Christmas time to watch such wonderful fun Christmas movies, this movie will always be one of the best remebered Christmas movies ever made, and will be enjoyed to watch time and time again....5 stars*****

Originally broadcast on television in 1966, How The Grinch Stole Christmas is the classic Christmas story all packed into a tight 30 minutes. For those living under a rock, the concept of the short movie is an ogre (ie the Grinch) who lives with his perky dog Max above Whooville, a town of kindly, giving people out of the imagination of Dr. Seuss. The Grinch plots to stop Christmas by sneaking into Whoville on Christmas Eve and stealing all the presents, decorated trees, and food; however, in the end, the Grinch discovers the true meaning of the holiday. The story and comedy remain charming and inescapable, but the true magic originates from the direction of Chuck Jones, the voice and narration of Boris Karloff, and the singing of Thurl Ravenscroft (who is also the voice of Tony the Tiger). The bottom line is that How The Grinch Stole Christmas remains a favorite of both children and adults.

what a wonderful imagination that Dr. Suess had. I watched this cartoon as a child and I am glad my children can watch and enjoy this story over the years. A nasty old Grinch who is born with a tiny heart hates Christmas and the joy it brings to others so decides to steal Christmas.what a nice lesson it gives at the end that Christmas is not about things, it is what is in your heart and what it brings to others. A nice story for the Christmas season.
