This film is genuinely funny. Accidentally left behind when his large family leaves for Christmas vacation, little Kevin McAllister holds his own against two bumbling burglars. Great slapstick, with a few tender moments, as well. It need not be Christmas to enjoy this family favorite.

Home Alone is a classic movie for me. It came out when I was a child, and was a huge hit. The movie was fun and exciting for a child, and now as an adult, it is fun to watch the movie and repeat all the great lines. Definitely a Christmas classic for my generation.

I loved Home Alone 1, about a boy who gets left behind and alone at home at Christmas and has to defeat crooks who are out to rob his familys home..... and Home Alone 2 Lost in New York.....about the same boy who gets lossed from his family, gets on the wrong plane and ends up in New York City...Where he gets involved with 2 crooks in the big city and will have to defeat them against robbing a famous Christmas store on Christmas eve. . . I love both these movies and enjoy watching them every year at Christmas, it makes Christmas time more enjoyable to be able to watch these wonderful movies every year.

I enjoy this movie everytime it comes on tv. Just seeing a little kid putting his bratty behavior to good use, proves that everything has it's good sides.

Not only is the movie pretty good, the soundtrack is excellent. John Willams is a fantastic composer.

Highly entertaining. A ten year old kid outsmarting two crooks was fun to watch. The film generally avoided the cutesy aura that many Christmas flicks fall victim to. Too bad the sequels failed to do the same.

How can those parents forget the kid two movies in a row?
