I don't put much value into the astrological thing, but Leo the Lion is a cool sign. I'd say more but that missing finger makes it hard to type.

Anyone who judges anyone else by their astrological sign, is in serious need of medication, therapy or a better sex life.

And for the record, this is my Zodiac sign. And some of the "characteristics" fit me, and some don't. Which I could say of pretty much all of the other 11 signs too.

Leos need to be the center of attention, or else! If they don't get it from you, they'll go someplace else to get it. Try to make them commit and you'll be sorry... they'll act as if you stole their soul. They like children & family. Leo men are only loyal to their mother. They care more about what other people think of them rather than what they want.

I'm 29 year old Leo and only recently learned about the Zodiacs and their characteristics. I was startled by what I read ("Oh my God,:-o that's how I am!"). It has answered a lot of questions I had about myself over the years but was never able to answer. It was quite a relief actually. I do fit a lot of the characteristics of a Leo. However, I don't find myself being bossy much. I think my most obvious Leo trait is the warm-heartedness.

Like the previous rater, I am a Leo who doesn't fit the common personality description of one. I'm not the bossy type, nor someone who makes myself the center of attention. I'm not confrontational nor argumentative, and I am not into materialism or showing off. I'm friendly like a Leo, but it's a quiet, reserved friendliness. Many things determine personality. Your DNA certainly, as well as culture and environment in how you were raised. But the month in which you were born is unrelated to personality, as confirmed by the vast majority of scientific examination.

I'll rate them all a 3 if I rate the rest, because I really don't use zodiac as a way to judge how a person is or might be. I am a Leo, and find that I show few of the traits that are supposedly "rampant" amongst Leo women. Apparently, we are supposed to love being the center of attention and relish in praise. Jobs such as acting, singing, etc are supposedly the best for our personalities (load of crap!) I hate attention, hate crowds, and couldn't sing or act my way out of a paper bag-mostly because of my fear of public embarrassment. As with anything, your personality has a lot to do more with how you are raised and the people with whom you spend a great deal of your time with. I WILL admit that my attitude is that of the Leo; couldn't be a true fire sign if you weren't opinionated and stubborn ;-)

ComputerGal....I just got into this Zodiac stuff and did so by a friend of mine telling me how I won't get along with a Pisces friend of mine. I'm a male Leo (July 23) and the two I'm speaking of are females, Pisces and Sag. The Sag was so right that I can't believe it. I read your opinion in the Pisces forum and just from this one Pisces I'm talking about I agree with some of what you have said. I'm not painting all with the same brush, but my experience with my Pisces EX-FRIEND is just unbelieveable. They whine a lot about their sorrows to get others sympathy thus manipulating people that way. They are more two faced..... does not like to accept responsibility for any wrongdoing. It's always somebody else's fault or circumstances.....start out as sweethearts and when somebody f---(I didn't f---- her around, just wanted her to call one time when she didn't show up and she accused me of manipulating her, "you backed me into a corner she said". How? I was just concerned as I'm a caring person.").....meet nice people they don't appreciate them and treat them bad to precipitate mistreatment directed towards them. It sounds twisted but true. (She was in real bad relationships and that's how and why we met....then I'm treated like a real scum bag, I was so good to her. I caught her in so many lies, something that I was impressed with when we met, she claimed she was up-front and honest and that's the way I am so I thought great....I soon learned she wasn't who she said she was, far from it). I'm a good hearted up-front, honest guy and when we met that's what she said she was. Did I find out differenly.....??? I'll leave it at this, but I still can't get over how accurate my Sag friend was and also your take. Take Care

I'm a Leo and yes my ego is my downfall. I'm much more quieter than other Leo's but I'm very lazy. One of my new years resolutions for this year was to work hard and thats not going so well. I'm very competitive and I'm always trying to be the best at like everything. don't worry I'm not doing that anymore. But I guess being a Leo has it's bad points but I'm proud to be who I am right now.

I don't get along well with Leos. They tend to be very self absorbed, and want all the attention. Which isn't a total bad thing, because some of the most entertaining people in the world are Leos. I just don't get along with them.

I'm a Leo, but my Capricorn Ascendant subdues me quite a bit. I'm more quiet, selfless and down to earth than your average Lion. Anyhow, I won't be too harsh with my own Sun sign. Leo has it's good and bad points. I think their ego is their downfall and often times makes people forget about their great accomplishments as a result of this. Leo men make good dates because they are generous with of themselves in every way. Just keep their ego in check so they know what they've got. Leos have a good sense of humour and maintain a youthful perspective, even in old age. The downside is that some Leos don't know when to stop dressing like and hanging out with 22 year olds. Leo women are hard to get along with because they are primadonna-ish. They demand a following and want people to always to tell them how wonderful they are. They don't always reciprocate these attentions unless there is something in it for them. On the upside once a Leo loves you, they always will and can give of themselves so freely from the bottom of their heart. The thing about them that amazes me is that even after their heart gets broken and tragedy happens they bounce back to normal with few resentments. The sun will always shine again. Leos make great actors and entertainers because of their flair for drama and comedy. However, they love to and expect to live the high life even if they earn minimum wage. That's where they turn to people who have more than them to look good. Many Lions are lazy unfortunately and like to leave the dirty work to 'inferiors'. If they must work hard, they'll do it for a while and kiss up big time and everything else in the book to get what they want so they can get a higher position so they can slack off and delegate the menial assignments to their subordinates.

I'm a Leo and by far my biggest weakness is my need for attention. I simply feel insecure when I don't get any. But when I do get it, I give give back as much (if not more) in kindness and generosity. I do everything I can to help and protect those who are loyal to me, and I value pride and honesty above all else. I can be aggressive, but I'm trying to tone it down a bit and think about this more, and be less impulsive. Leos are emotional, impulsive and concerned with self. The opposite are Auqarians who are withdrawn, calculated, and concerned with others. I think Leos and Aquarians are the natural leaders of the zodiac, one achieving by negotiation and the other by thought and planning. I see my Aquarian girlfriend as cold and uncaring, she sees me as irrational and over emotional. But hey, at least I know why now. All signs are great though, of course, in their own ways. Leos are selfish and bratty. They make a big deal out of the littlest things, then drag everyone else along for the ride.

They are royality. What more can you say? Don't be jealous of them, oh but wait...you can't help but to be jealous. I love them. Next to Gemini, this is the hottest sign to be. If you're not a Leo or Gemini, well, I feel sorry for you then.

No sign annoys me more then Leo.. well.. maybe Gemini! Why do they think so much of themselfs?! WHY?! I have known a few leos in my life. from what i know they are very bossy, and always want attention. the only good thing about them is that they are very friendly.

Basically, I am a leo and i think we all suck and so other than the fact that I have pretty hair, I will have to say that genecide should be committed against all leos.

I'm a true Leo, but at least I'll admit it. I'm bossy and dominant in a lot of circumstances, but that's mainly because I'm always right (haha.) I also love attention and praise, but I seem to be growing out of some of that. On the whole, I think its simplistic to say all my personality traits are based on birthdates, but sometimes, the descriptions are right on the money.

I love Leos. One the positive side they are generous, warm hearted and have lots of energy. On the negative side they can be egotistical, bossy, and argumentative(don't waste time arguing with a Leo even if you are right)

Sick of hearing people trash Leos. My best friend is one. She is one of the most kindest, funniest, and charismatic people you'll ever meet. She offers her views and listens to yours.

Almost every Leo I met loved sex so much. But they were also decent people, and always had something good to say about everyone. I can't think of hardly anything bad about Leo's, other than their sex drive can be too overwhelming for some people I guess. lol.

I generally like Leos. They take a long time to get to know, if you ever really get to know them. You can't really rely on them TOO much, though. They also seem to enjoy drinking and sex a lot. Very family-oriented. Forget about arguing with them.

I'm a Leo and I give Leo a three only because I gave every other zodiac sign a three. But honestly, saying that a person is automatically this or that just because of their zodiac sign, I mean, it's just plain dumb. That's like judging a book by it's cover or saying that all people from the age of 15-39 steal. I know that people say that most Leos are aggressive, self-centered, etc., etc., but if I'm aggressive then I'm an alien from the planet Zirton who feeds on aardvark tails. Everybody I know seems to know what starsign I am before I tell them... I admit, I can be a bit loud, been told I have a great sense of humour, have naturally blonde hair and cat-shaped eyes, so I kinda fit into your stereotypical Leo. I admit, we need to be pampered and to have compliments all the time, but we are fiercely protective over the people we love and care about.

yes from famous leos i hear about and from the two leos i know personally, i'd have to judge that they do seek quite a bit of attention. they do tend to be charismatic and personable and (as i've observed) have rather highly charged libidos...as they tend to be talented heartbreakers. yet my leo best friend is also very considerate and nurturing and a good listener (to others, but not to her own common sense)

The Leo is a warm, generous and passionate being who always wants to be in the limelight. They are born leaders and are very selfconfident. They want to organize everything and live large. The Leo wants everyone to take notice of them and care about their needs and wishes. If they don't get appreciation and admiration they can get very sulky. This can cause them to become show offs, egotistical and dominant. They live for drama and want audiences and applauds for whatever they do. They are also very cheerful figures who like to have fun. They are loyal and generous towards their friends and have the abillity to interact well with all types of people. They do tend to exxagerate in order to impress whomever's listening. One problem the Leo has with friendship is that they are stubborn and try to dominate others. It's not unusual that discussions turn into fights. However the Leo doesn't like to talk to much about problems with others but loves to give advice to people who comes to them with theirs.
