I love this beer. It's the closest thing to Shiner Bock I've seen, and if it were available in Texas would give Shiner a run for its money. I like Victoria better, but when I want a darker beer, Indio does the trick without being heavy. I sure wish I lived closer to the border so I could pick up a case in NL more often.

It is a shame that we can't get this beer in the US. This is the best every day drinking beer by far! This beer makes business trips to Monterrey, NL, Mexico worth it.

Very cheap and good...lived on it in Oaxaca. I live in Texas and it definitely is not imported into the US per one of my liquor store owner friends. I miss it!

Indio beer is probably my 2nd favorite Mexican beer. That's the case only if I can't get Victoria beer. Indio is not available in the U.S. I really, really enjoy the both of them. Indio, like Victoria beer, is not served everywhere in Mexico and is not heavily marketed. It is not as heavy as the "amber" description implies.

I was introduced to Indio beer while lounging away a sunny afternoon with friends at The Dock cafe at Marina De La Paz. La Paz is the capitol city of the Baja California Sur in Mexico. The beer was perfect with a mellow but not timid body and a very smooth finish. I have been consistant in my search for Indio here in the states but so far have came up empty. If you do happen to pass through Mexico, I highly recommend seeking out and enjoying this lovely amber beer.

Indio is just about a perfect beer. It's a nice brown color, but similar to Newcastle or Negra Modelo, it doesn't fill you up and slow you down. Just a fantastic beer that I believe, you can only get in Mexico.
