Of all of the Disney characters, Mulan seemed the most realistic one to me. She was discouraged about pressures to be what everyone expected her to be and wanted to prove to herself and others that she was more than what it had appeared to be. She never gave up and was determined to find the real meaning of herself.

I really liked Mulan. I thought she was daring and brave. She wasn't going to wait for her prince to do the saving like other Disney heroines. She wanted to do it herself.
