He and Kelly will be forever cursed. each had their strengths and were charismatic and good leaders in their own way and deserve more respect.

It's an incredible shame that this very talented scrambler never won a Super Bowl. He deserved it much more than a lot of those guys who wear the ring.

He could outscramble any QB past or present. He missed the ring, but he could play like mad!

So underrated...how many defensive players did he leave sucking wind?!

Second only to Dan Marino in total yards passing, Fran was far and away the best quarterback for overall longevity. Bud Grant and Fran started the West Coast offense and Bill Walsh put it into effect commenting later that he did use the Grant scheme to work the West Coast offense with the 49ers in the early 80's. Next to Dan Marino and Joe Montana, Fran stands alone as the 3rd best QB in History...

Like Marino, the greatest QB to never win a ring. Just the fact that he led the Vikings to three Super Bowl appearances says a lot about him as a QB. His name is near the top of every passing category, and his longevity in the league is a testament to his greatness.

The past day Michael Vick.

Sir Francis was an innovative player to say the least. The first true scrambling QB with a better than average arm. An exciting player who led the Vikes to three SB appearances, but, like Marino and Kelly, never won a ring.
