Solid QB who played in the closest NFL climate equivalent of Siberia. Indeed, Kelley had HOF talent around him but there are numbers and some solid performances as well. But Kelley's average-to-ghastly Supe performances must be taken into consideration.

I hated this guy. People say Marino was over rated? Heck no. Marino had NO RUNNING GAME (can anyone say Sammy Smith?). Kelly looked good with the likes of Thurman Thomas running up and down the field. Kelly was too cocky, I just did not like him.

Kelly is one of the best QBs ever. So what, if he never won the big one. How many QBs can say they went to four Super Bowls in a row? He was able to control the game, while running the no huddle, more than any QB before him or since him.

Just didn't have the luck to win a Super Bowl.

Im a Buffalo transplant and therefore a homer. I put Kelly behind the very greats (Montana, Elway etc) as he never did bring it home. But no other QB in football history guided his team to 4 streight championship games, not Montana, Elway, Aikman no one. Peyton Manning will be lucky to see 2 superbowls. Look at Philly's recent close attempts and see just how amazing a feat it was. Until last week the Kelly-Reed combo was the most prolific (in yards) in NFL history. Other than a hard worker in Reed a very old Lofton was his next best WR in his career. He was one of the first QBs in the game to call his own plays, and didn't need a stupid arm band to do it. The single-back K-gun (named after Keith McKeller a TE not Jim Kelly) helped revolutionize the modern offensive game (west coast and Run and shoot the other two) and put emphasis on the TE when a lot of teams were dropping/ignoring the TE position all together. Kelly was one of maybe 4 QBs in his era who could run it. A field goal kick, or defensive stand on 3rd and 12 would have changed things forever.

Second best quarterback to never win a ring other than Dan Marino.

Four Straight Superbowls...Playoffs in 8 out of 10 years...Jim Kelly is underrated on these ratings. Troy Aikman among others are not better than him. There is a difference between QB's and Passers..calling his own plays made him the ultimate QB.

Kelly played with a lot of heart. His passion for the game is why he's a winner. ... Maaaaan Widgeon or Widgey, you don't know wut you talkin' about dawg! He's 5 star all da way, man!

If Norwood hits the field goal Kelly move up 5 spots. Great guy and QB and worked with alot less than Montana and made it to 4 straight.

He did everything to get to a championship but win. He literally took beatings and still got up. No one in the modern era will lead his team to 4 straight super bowls. He was also one of the rare qb's who called their own plays and audibled whenever he wanted to.

The K-Gun, modern day football that was invented in the late 80's because of Kelly's abilities. But, let's be honest here, greatest of all time? And right now he's ahead of Favre on this list??!! Stop drinking people!!??

I may have overlooked Kelly when I described Marino and Tarkington as the greratest QB's to never win a ring. His four straight appearances in the Super Bowl with the Bills is an accomplishment that may never be repeated.

Took the Bills to 4 straight Super Bowls. Despite their 4 losses in those games, it was an amazing accomplishment for him to lead his team to such success.
