I don't think Jaworski could run if there was a pick-up truck full of Deliverance style rednecks chasing him, intent on rapine and slaughter.
But he could drop four steps, stand in the pocket, and hit every reciever the Eagles had.
Not a truly great quarterback, but a smart one who made the best of his gifts. Which was good enough to get the Eagles to a SuperBowl, if not win it.

I grew up watching Jaws. Wasn't a stat-guy QB due to some lousy Eagle teams and very few quality WR's (two exceptions- Harold Charmicheal early in his career and the very underrated Mike Quick late in his career.) In summation, Jaws was a classic good-but-not-great QB who played in a tough town, with tough fans (while playing on the green concrete known as the Vet) and carved out a nice career for himself. But he was the QB of a shell-shocked losing Super Bowl team and that glazed look in his eyes is something I remember. . .As an all-time QB he's a tad low but that's not a slight against him.

JAWS MUST HAVE WATCHED A LOT OF FILM WHEN PLAYING , NOW HE IS THE BEST AT BREAKING DOWN TEAMS AND ESPECIALLY Q.B.'S

Gotta love Jaws. How can you not like someone with the nickname The Polish Rifle? Perhaps the least mobile QB to ever play the game, Jaws was a pocket passer - and interestingly enough, the last QB to lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl.
