Daria is possibly the greatest cartoon to ever come out in television history..not counting children's cartoons of course. This cartoon was basically aimed at teenagers and young adults. But I loved it and tuned in every week to MTV during its prime. I really enjoyed Daria's attitude on life, as she seems to nail it on the head with every episode. I can't wait to see reruns in the future. MTV did good with this one...

This cartoon made me hate high school even more. As I watched this fictional world take shape I realized how similar it was to my high school.

While Beavis and Butthead hit during my middle school years, Daria came along during high school. Based upon a recurring character from Beavis and Butthead, Daria chronicled the life of an extremely intelligent high school girl, fed up with the shallow mentality of clique society and popular culture. I always found myself relating to Daria because I too was turned off by the pursuit of popularity in the high school scene and I appreciated Daria's dry, sarcastic wit to no end.
