 | youknownothing (0) 01/04/2006 | This is their best album to date.
This album is profound on so many levels, that one must not only "hear"
what is on offer, but "listen".
An absolute monster of an album.

 | HighschoolHead (0) 12/25/2004 | They try hard, but I really don't know if they'll ever get perfection.
I think if you asked them, they would probably say that their collective reasoning and collaboration are from years of hard work and studying a variety of sounds- lyrically, they matched intellectual satire with the sounds of evolving rock/metal. Great Album- probably more surprises in the future!

 | mj21 (0) 07/31/2004 | Aenima is probably Tool's best CD, although it isn't as progressive as Lateralus,Aenima explores progressive rock more than the previous release Undertow. It is definately one of Tool's darkest CDs and it open's ones mind to things such as evolution, genetic mutation, public desensititization and religious hypocracy. If you listen well you may be able to understand the message Tool is trying to get across and that is to open your third eye and realize the world around that you might have been blinded to.Aenima is an aggressive, intellectual and dark work of art.

 | jsnead (0) 07/30/2004 | Probably the best album I've ever heard. A classic much in the vein of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here, but with more of an edge.

 | DeathRattle (1) 10/22/2003 | Prbably the best of the TOOL albums. This would be the start of the TOOL albums filed with few quickie sound effect tracks, and the long but beautifully and ferociously crafted songs that are anything but filler. The sheer talent that flows from the instrumental and songwritting ability from these four men is astonishing. This album will make you think as well as keep you in hysterics with the suprisingly witty lyrics. Favorite cuts from this album include 'Stinkfist,' 'Aemema (the filth that makes L.A. and flushing it all down a toilet),' 'Hooker With A Penis (what is truly selling out?),' 'Intermission,' and the ode to L. Ron Hubbard and anyone ese who claims to be a God when they're not 'Eulogy.' One incredible record. MONEY WELL SPENT!!!!
