Jean Harlow is one of my person favorites. She was a fun actress if anyone gets a chance to see her. Red Headed Woman was a really funny movie. It was a very crowded theater in NY for the before the code series. She was an inspiration to Marilyn Monroe. Some of the movies she was in may be more bland since they were just turning them out then.

Jean Harlow was a much better actress than she is usually given credit as being. She had a very natural style and she was a superb comedienne. She learned quickly and she was very young. She would have become an even better actress had she lived longer. She left a legacy of timeless performances when she died at the age of 26 on June 7th, 1937. She will always live on through her performances although too many only see her in The Public Enemy which was her worst performance in a major film. She became a very capable actress and her work while under contract at MGM is testament of what a marvelous actress she was.

Trashy no-talent with the most annoying voice in Hollywood history. Looked like she was suffering from venereal disease. Her claim to fame, of course, is that she'd take off her clothes at the drop of a hat, never wore underwear and would rub ice on her nipples right before she'd go out in public. A stinky bucket of cheese, actually.

Jean was a lovely, sweet girl. She might not have had the acting range of Bette Davis or someone but she had *charisma* and by the end of her life, her performances had improved greatly. She was only 26 when she died, and who knows what she could've become with time?
