Besides if i did it would be for me and my partner, and no one else.

10/07/2005 | in our extended family it is a (cultural?) tradition, in past generations to have the hood peierced shortly (month) before our marriage ceremonies. in my generation (23 and younger) the female cousins /second cousins had their piercing done my granma at about age 16 and when we semi-serious boyfriends - she said it would enhance marriage and our mates' experience (and ours). its a tradition like pierced ears in some families (our ears are peierced too) and so far none of us have complained. in fact we have all felt it to be great.

08/25/2005 | Hahah! Some of the comments make me laugh! Even though the clit can be pierced (very extreme, and very, very rare, most professionals will tell you no with good reason), but most of the time people mean the clitoris hood. It feels like a minor sharp pinch- you are only going through a tiny amout of flesh, heals fully in 2 weeks- NO JOKE. Is one of the fastest healing piercings to get done, lots of blood flow to the area so super easy healing. And no it doesn't mean anyone has a rep- some women like myself like functional piercings, and want to celebrate our female sex. It does add to the fun, but it's also empowering. Guess you have to like piercings to understand. Of all the body piercings it's the easiest and least painful- even compared to ears. It was my fist non-ear thing done.

12/11/2003 | I don't want to sound like my mom, but every girl I've heard of, with this has a reputation. (New comment) I'm just going to add to this comment, after discussing this with BigDogDad. I realise now that the only reason a girl might have this reputation is if she sleeps around a lot. But it doesn't necessarily mean that she sleeps around if she pierces herself down there. If someone has this done, and doesn't sleep around, than I guess no one would know enough of about it to give her a reputation. So unfortunatley it's the womans experience, which is really what gives the reputation. The piercing has nothing to do with it. So I apoligize for what I wrote here first, and I hope that any women out there with a pierced vagina can forgive me.
