 | cablejockey (18) 01/27/2006 | I liked his style, his persona, and his look. Very entertaining, wish he was still here in his prime, I'd love to see what he could do in today's films.

 | GenghisTheHun (173) 01/27/2006 | In the good old Roman style I have a pantheon of departed to whom I pay respect. I don't worship, but respect.
Charles is in my little gaggle of such "household gods."

 | Randyman (105) 01/26/2006 | One of my favorite "tough guy" actor. Probably one of the most masculine actor of his day. Hey Al, I think his last name was originally Buchinski.

 | alpepper (21) 01/25/2006 | Charles Bronson used to work out at the same South Philadelphia gym as my father in the 1940s. They became, what we know today as, workout buddies. Back then, his name was Charles Bukowski. When Charles and my Dad used their G.I. Bill benefits for schooling, Charles chose acting lessons. My dad, as luck would have it, opted for dance lessons. I think stone faced Charlie made the mbetter choice.

 | Moosekarloff (18) 01/25/2006 | S**t actor, who wasn't even convincing in the two emotions he could convey. Made some really negative films that were damaging to the collective public imagination. By the time he was doing his tough guy roles, he was already 78 years old, so I, for one, was hardly impressed. Ho-hum.

 | Beres (3) 03/14/2005 | I think he was in his 70s when he died. I remember being surprised because he seemed ageless. One of those people that have been around forever. Still it was a surprise and I enjoyed his movies.

 | Jed1000 (73) 03/24/2004 | Sadly his choice of roles was always limited by his physical appearance and a perceived tough-guy persona. In fact he was a pretty nice guy and a fairly decent actor. Many people admired him for his devotion to his wife, Jill Ireland, who suffered a much-publicized struggle with cancer.

 | CastleBee (83) 03/22/2004 | Couldn't act, his movies were kah kah, and his macho man persona was extremely dated even during his hey day. Sorry for his family but I can't say I miss his presence in films.
