Very bad customer service and the loan process is at least a month and a half long. Stick with Chase or Citibank.

Those student loans that are often advertised on television are like the subprime loans that are ruining the housing industry. They might offer you a check for more than you truly need to get through college, but you'll be paying back way too much interest for the rest of your working life.

 | jgls (14) 12/29/2003 | if you aren't planning on busting your ass in college, don't take out student loans because unless you get a great job right out of college, you will be paying these off for a very long time.
