Some of the best memories of my father are from doing this. Some of the best times I've had with my kids have been the same. Of course once my older son has turned about 15 he always wanted to throw heater to the old man, which given that he didn't exactly rival Catfish Hunter for control made life a little interesting.

Corny as it sounds, I really look foreward to doing this. I never did this with My old Man and I feel like I missed out.

Not very coordinated, but anytime I can do something fun with my kids/ grandkids is a wonderful time. I love letting them help me with cooking, and even cleaning, also I love doing craft projects together with them.

. . .as long as it's not with grenades or javelins.

Depends . . . are you playing catch with you child (as in, throwing a ball to him/her and having him/her throw it back to you), or are you playing catch WITH your child (as in, throwing your child back and forth)? UPDATE: Aw, you guys have no sense of humor . . .

This is a great thing! Also I loved sparring with my son, a little differant but the same concept. The son of a gun is too big and hits too hard now, but it was fun!

Playing any game that doesn't require a computer is stimulating for any child in their development not to mention the fun you have getting to know your child better. I've seen too many parents sit their child in front a TV for hours on end, no fresh air and allow the media to raise their children.

Hard to beat, as long as they manage not to get hurt. :)

I guess the answer to Kamylienne's question depends on whether it was the Jackson family playing catch with their children.
