Don't like the taste
Don't like the consistency
Don't like the bruising.
But it's easy to eat
and has a good beat you can dance to.

I'm only giving this a five because a woman eating one is indeed hot. I really hate bananas but that sight induces madness....

Not sure if it's because of where I am or what but lately the bananas have had a weird texture to them, and I don't like too much. Not to mention my bananas must be perfectly ripe and my kids always eat before they're ripe.

the banana is the most honest of fruits. you know exactly what you will be getting looking at its skin. dont know if there any other fruits like it. wish it would last longer than 2 or 3 days, though. must eat fast.

Sure, it's a common fruit and the taste isn't mind-blowingly awesome, but for the combination of price, availability, and nutrition, what the hell on earth can top the banana?! I lived in Costa Rica for awhile and I believe they're the 2nd biggest exporter of bananas after Ecuador. I ate them all the time, they were everywhere, but I never tired of it. Costa Rica...bananas...holy Joseph Smith!

Why the banana isn't at the top of the list is beyond me. They taste great. They are just the right size for a healthy stict-to-your-ribs snack. And, as if that were not enough, they come in a convienient easy-peel container.

Banana bread is very good. Bananas are the cheapest (30 cents a pound) and a fairly good tasting healthy fruit!!!

Bananas can be great, but the fact is they're only great for a short period of time. Eat em too early and they're not ripe enough. Eat them too late and they're rotten. On the upside, they're wonderful sliced in Rice Krispies and they're of course a key ingredient in banana bread.

Pair a banana with a sandwich, add maybe a few chips, and you've got a quaint little lunch. Not my favorite kind of fruit, but I like them okay; they taste pleasant enough.

I have a love hate relationship with bananas. I love bananas but hate putting them up at the store where I work because they run out so quickly.

Ahh the banana, good simple fruit to just peel back and eat. Good to cook and bake with too.

Bananas are way overrated, man. They're not juicy, they're just mushy. If they're too ripe they're mush, and if they're not ripe enough they're bitter and hard to peel. Also, start getting weaned off bananas right now, because in fifteen years there won't be any bananas left on earth, they are becoming extinct because of the current growing practices. I'm serious, bananas will soon be a thing of the past, and then we'll have to start eating plantains which are just nasty.

Bananas are one of my favorite fruits. I like them when they're barely ripe, they taste really sweet and good. They're also easy to carry and eat. I will always love bananas. Plus that song, "Bananas in Pajamas" is super catchy!

Delicious flavor and filled with potassium. All you have to do is peel it off, which isn't hard or messy, so it's easy to eat.

I love bananas when they're a bit green yet -- don't ask why -- but I can't eat them when the peel is brown. Bananas are fun, portable fruit but I don't like how easily they spoil. Oh, yeah, and frozen, chocolate-covered bananas aren't as good as they sound. . .

Never was a big fan of the taste. I'll take potassium pills instead.

i've never been much of a banana fan. the mushy consistancy always makes me feel sick, and so i have to put them in the freezer for a bit to enjoy them. also, if you mix a banana with any other fruits (ie- a smoothie with banana), it will completely overpower all the other tastes. they are good when you cover them in chocolate and freeze them though. it seems kind of funny to be rating a fruit of all things, but i've never liked them much.

Another overrated fruit. Banana cream pie and bananas as a compliment/flavoring are excellent, but a banana by itself leaves quite a bit to be desired.

I was surprised to see the banana so far down the list. I like the banana for several reasons. Not only is it great tasting, it is so convenient, It comes in it's own "container" that is easy to open, it goes good with a lot of stuff like in cereal, banana splits, banana bread. I have heard that the banana is considered one of the perfect foods,it is rated very high for nutrition. another fruit our whole family likes and usually not too expensive.

Delicious and versatile. Bananas can be eaten and used in so many ways - in breads, desserts, smoothies and shakes, salads and just plain out of the peel. The fruit is incredibly nutritious and healing; even the peel can be used externally for healing. This is a fruit which would be hard to live without.

I choked on a banana once as a child and since then, I've never been able to eat one without gagging. I do like banana bread though.

The Banana is a very versatile fruit. Excellent addition to fruit salad, cereal, pudding, cream pie, goes very well with ice cream, frozen and covered in chocolate and may be the most popular daiquiri flavor. I love it as a snack or for breakfast plain, medium ripe with a cold glass of milk. Heck, the banana can do almost anything and has pleased people from Elvis Presley (with his peanut butter and banana sandwiches) to those who enjoy telling off-color, though hackneyed jokes – “Is that a banana in your pocket or “ … yeah, well, we all know the rest.

I hate artificial banana flavor. Banana bread is good. I like them when they have just a few of dem brown spots- they're not mushy, but they're not piney. Bananas can have great flavor- great w/ peanut butter (isn't that Elvis' favourite sandwich?). Lucky I ate a lot of bananas earlier in life- they bother my stomach now.

Bananas are great if you get them at the optimal period for ripeness. If it is too ripe, the taste can be a bit overwhelming and the fruit is mushy; if it is too ripe, the banana tastes really bad. It must just ripe enough, but not too ripe. The best bananas are the small ones that are REALLY sweet and good. They grow down here in Miami where I live and I think they are imported from Central America. The banana is another clean fruit, you just take off the peel (don't eat the peel, it tastes bad, although it is a good source of fiber) and eat away.

Bananas are not in my top ten. I like them in fruit salads, smoothies, and banana bread, but on their own they're kind of unappealing (ha ha). I admire the way they're self-contained, though, and they're not messy. Bananas are easy to slice, and they don't ooze juice all over the place. On the downside, bananas become nasty when they get too hot or too ripe. There's nothing more disgusting than opening a lunchbox at the end of the day and finding a rotten banana inside- yuck! Plus, I don't think the flavor of a banana is very tasty on its own. I don't have anything against bananas, but I definitely prefer them mixed in with other types of fruit.

I love bananas, if they are mature enough. I hate when they peel is slightly green or completely yellow. If it hasn't got some brown dots on the peel it stays out of my mouth. When the peels brown it's a lot sweeter to eat. One downside is that bananas go bad really quite quickly and that they are not the best to use in cooking. Otherwise they're a perfect snack and easy to carry around.

Ah, bananas, often considered one of the "big 3" fruits, alongside apples and oranges. I honestly think what has made the fruit so popular, however, is the ease of eating one. Extremely easy to peel. The taste, however, is rather on the bland side. They don't taste BAD, mind you, but they certainly aren't very flavorful, and there are certainly other fruits I would MUCH rather be having than a banana!
