 | georges11 (16) 10/27/2007 | Very tasty fruit. You must catch it in its prime though. Not ripe-too tangy. Too ripe-mushy and sweet.

 | A_Dancing (1) 05/01/2005 | Nectarines are perfect. They are delicious, juicy, sexy, and not fuzzy.
How anyone can eat a fuzzy peel is beyond me. Hello- you can get something just as fantastic but smoother in a nectarine!

 | bibliophile (10) 09/29/2004 | A peach substitute for people who can't peel peaches. Sometimes they are better than peaches.

 | dovekiller (1) 09/15/2003 | Nothing beats a quality, properly ripened nectarine. It should be the king of fruit. The problem is ripening them properly. I check them twice a day. Typically it goes: green, green, green, rotten. They do have a ripe period of course, but the window of opportunity seems to be only about 2 hrs wide. Tough target but when you hit it you really ring the bell.

 | MedgarEvers (13) 09/10/2001 | I've had un-ripe nectarines that were still good. Harder on the outside than peaches, but often more flavorful and crisp than them. Love it.
