Nah I think torture and life imprisonment are better ideas We don't want a martyr now do we?
abichara 09/19/2004
In a confrontation with US allied forces, there's a good chance that bin Laden might just be killed. The million dollar question here seems to be why haven't been able to catch this guy despite the fact that many in Northern Pakistan and Afghanistan have been able to account for bin Laden and his henchmen. We have some of the best intelligence in the world, why can't we catch this guy. Yes, the terrain in the Hindu Kush is rather tricky and he does have many hiding spots. We literally let him get away after the battle of Tora Bora in March of 2002. The problem is that we haven't invested enough into Afghanistan in terms of targeted military assets like intelligence gathering. The lesson here is that war can't be done on the cheap; when you commit to an action, make sure that we see it through. Afghanistan was a tough case from the beginning, but we should have been able to catch bin Laden by this point. As for assassinating the man, I don't see the value of doing so outside of merely extracting vengence. In fact, that's what I think he would want. He's just one man, al-Qaeda is much bigger than bin-Laden himself. Killing him might just turn him into a martyr, but I don't think it'll make a whole lot of difference at this point, kill him or not, it doesn't really matter.

But it must be a slow and painful death.
Blanco~Nino 07/10/2004
capture him, but don't kill him. the last thing we need is a martyr.
DaRick 07/05/2004
I say we just skip the 'trial', excommunicate him from Islam, send him to a Russian psychiatric hospital, inject him with life-threatening drugs and then seal off the room so that he dies of suffocation-in disgrace.
Flick01 07/03/2004
I believe it was Colin Powell who said something to the effect that if Osama wishes to meet Allah, we should arrange the meeting.

Osama is god what a great man he made my day Sept 11

kingbaby 11/19/2003
We should seek to capture him and put him on trial for his crimes - not become murderers ourselves.
RebelYell1861 11/05/2003
Drag his sorry ass through a field of razor blades, force him to listen to Alanis Morrisette, then assissinate the bastard.
Redoedo 10/20/2003
I am personally shocked at just how naive some of my fellow citizens are. Osama has the right to a fair trial? Wrong- he does not. Osama bin Laden is not a United States citizen, and thus is not entitled to a fair trial under the Constitution. This man is responsible for countless deaths- I hardly believe that his spending life in prison with a roof over his head and food in his stomach is a proper punishment. As for the question of his becoming a martyr. Here's a scenario that I've written of on other topics related to this issue: If someone kills a member of your family, and you know that he did, would you NOT seek justice because you are afraid that the killer or his friends will come after you? It's as simple as that.
StanUzbeck 09/20/2003
I agree that this man should probably be killed. He's a terrible human being. Even though we don't have definitive evidence that he was reponsible for 9/11, he probably was, and he benefited from it as it inspired more young men to join his organization (would you rather join an organization of professionals or a bunch of amateurs who can barely manage a car-bombing here and there?). He was also pretty pleased about the results, although just because someone is gleeful over the misery of others does not make him deserving of death; there are much better reasons to kill this bastard. Besides, when he can manipulate people's emotions just by smiling at tragedy, we give him that much more power over us. The reason I'm giving this issue only two stars is because I don't believe that killing him will slow down the terrorist attacks and training camps one bit. He may be the nominal leader of Al Qaeda, but he certainly isn't its organizational leader or logistical leader or even its financial support (they'll raise funds in other ways - they have many rich sympathizers like the Saudis). Go ahead and kill the guy, he more than deserves it, but it won't make that much of a difference in the proceedings and will probably distract from the more important tasks at hand.

God showed me that Timothy McVeigh is in Heaven...blue silver!!! Ha Ha! I warned everyone here in Chicago..."Execute McVeigh and someone is going to hit one of these cities!" Timothy McVeigh is the only one I acknowledged here highly in America on my webpage! View me at google...geocities.com/loudproductions60609 I hope he got my mail and e-mail before he was executed!! Still waiting on Justice for my brother, Skip, Michigan City, Indiana! My brother LaShawn Standberry was killed at Lynchberg Penitentiary...i.e. they couldn't tell us how he died!!!!! However, your government buried him at Fort Sheridan, Illinois!!!!!He had a lawsuit going in Germany about his music.i.e. "talking guitar" fo reel!!! As we all know, especially since 1995 this government is too corrupt, supreme court judges and all. God also showed me Bush with his wife...declaring "Abortions are no longer legal in America!" I've been calling the "whitehouse!" Bush did Iraq! He can do this! (I want this government to be called "The American Embassy of The United States"! Respect my ancestors!!! This is 2003!!!! Sha ke'nun P.S. We're all on God's time in Jesus' name!!!!
SFShuggies 06/30/2003
Now dont get me wrong people, just because i have one str doesnt mean i dont want to see this piece of scum in a long box with metal handles. I dont believe he should be assasinated because a quick death would be too good for him. Bring him home. hook his nuts up to a car battery and strap him to an old rusty bed frame and douse him with water. And give him stong doses of electric current for 72 hours. Then have the families of all the victims give him a swift kick to his choad with each foot. Then before he reaches the end, give him a blood tranfusion and do it all over again. Then shoot him in the throat. And TO HELL with givin this puke an military tribunal!!!!!
LadyShark4534 06/14/2003
This man deserves all the bad things that happen to him. He is responsible for the death of 6000 people. All those people had to die because of this man. Why should we allow him to live?
forgotten hero 04/17/2003
The man deserves to die for all of the things he's done and for being an ungrateful bastard but if he dies by the hand of an american than he becomes a martyr.

MASS MURDERER - KILL, KILL, KILL
BIGBABY 02/22/2003
Murder is wrong!? Tell that to the 3,000 people on 9-11. Tell that to the thousands upon thousands of other victims by this mad lunatic. Tell that to the millions dead by Saddam! When we kill this physco, we will NOT be assassinating, we will be doing something called "defense".
RowdyYates 02/17/2003
Read all the way to the bottom of this email if you have one Drop of True American Blood Running in your veins !!!!!! I am sick and tired of people saying we can't win against terrorism. Well we can form a United Front and we can do something.... United ! ! !.....I beg you to send this to everyone YOU KNOW !!!!!! Just think, some of us cant go running around the world chasing terrorists But WE CAN DO THIS !!!!! Won't You join your Countrymen in the same way they stormed the beaches at Normandy ???? Its time to pick what side of the fence we are on and this is one way we can say ......We will win This ONE BATTLE on our HOMELAND for Sure !!!!! interesting... Subject: Are you supporting terrorism? Subject: Beat 'em at their own game... GASOLINE SOLUTION! We CAN buy gasoline that's not from Middle East. Why didn't George W. think of this? Gas rationing in the 80's worked even though we grumbled about it. It might even be good for us! The Saudis are boycotting American goods. We should return the favor. An interesting thought is to boycott their GAS. Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia. Just buy from gas companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis. Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends. I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas from and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil: Those that do import: Shell.....205,742,000 barrels Chevron/Texaco.....144,332,000 barrels Exxon /Mobil.....130,082,000 barrels Marathon/Speedway......117,740,000 barrels Amoco.....62,231,000 barrels If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil: Citgo.....0 barrels Sunoco..... ..0 barrels Conoco..... ..0 barrels Sinclair..... 0 barrels BP/Phillips..... 0 barrels Hess.....0 barrels All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing. They report on a monthly basis. Keep this list in your car; share it with friends. Stop paying for terrorism..... But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. It's really simple to do!! Now, don't wimp out at this point...keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!! I'm sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!! Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. How much would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next eight days!
mikeholly93 12/29/2002
I agree! Bin Laden must pay for the innocent people he killed with his own life.
lukskywlkr. 12/05/2002
I'd like to see him gone as much as anyone, but I think all it would accomplish is give us a false sense of security. When he's gone, there are probably dozens more of those wackos ready to take his place.
loki13 04/01/2002
This would be A great first step, but would not solve the whole problem. The next step which would also help to inshure saftey would be to deport the muslims and ban their immigration.
Molfan 02/12/2002
If they ever can find him.Yes, I wish they would. The man has no regard for human life. His own family wants nothing to do with him. He is as terrble as Adolph Hitler.
Spain Bull-Runner 01/19/2002
just send him to Egypt first for a little old-fashioned torture - this guy DEFINATELY does NOT deserve life, at least not without pain.
aft1970 01/06/2002
He is a criminal and he have to be assassinated,I say this as a muslim and this is not only through by western law, but it's through by Islamic law.
johnsgospel 11/24/2001
Do we really want to put bin laden in a situation where he may weasel out of his punishment? Lets all remember OJ Simpson, after all. OJ should have been in prison, but because of greasy lawyers, he escaped his just reward. Putting bin laden on trial gives him a chance to escape like OJ did. Put him in prison, he could feasibly still run his organization and nothing would change. However, on the flip side, if he is killed, you make him a martyr and an inspiration to millions of fanatics. So what is the answer? How about strip him of all his assets to help with the rebuilding of the WTC; give some of his assets to the airlines to help replace the planes he destroyed and perhaps money to the victims familes. Turn him into a pauper. humiliate him publicly. Then, perhaps you can bind him hand and foot and throw him in a pig pen to live out the rest of his days. Osama needs to be punished, but lets do it in a way that wont help his cause.
Fantasia_304 11/01/2001
Temper, Temper people! We must first understand that judgement does not belong to us. Secondly, whatever happened to innocent untill proven guilty? For some reason throughout times we seemed to have gotten it twisted. You know like guilty untill proven innocent. We are hunting down a faceless enemy that resembles a religion that has been profiled because their beliefs are not popular amongst "Christians." So, we can hunt Osama down, and smoke him out of his hole, but in the process how many more enemys do we make to satisfy Americas hunger for revenge.
lochentatequil a 10/26/2001
i think that what axlrod said was absolutely terrible and completely wong. what right does he/she have to decide the fate of a whole religion? the comment that he/she made shows the ignorance that will kill many people. maybe if you researched more and got both sides of the story, you would think differently!! What the terrorists did was awful, and they do have to be punished for that, but the innocent pople who just happen to share their religeon do not. if one Christian had a few supporters and didi something awful, that does not mean that the whole Christian religion needs to be wiped out!!! Gain Some Knowledge before you make rash statements!!!!
ellajedlicka21 10/21/2001
If this is the last resort, it must be done. His terrorist programs would be nowhere without HIM, the mastermind behind all the deranged diabolical schemes. Keep in mind though, even though he is a terrorist, he still has the right to a fair trial.
Lord of the Waves 10/21/2001
osama is the george washington of the middle east. not only did he aid in getting the russians out of afghanastan but he is a religious leader. By saying you want to assassinate him is like saying you want to asassinate the first president of the united states. doing so would make intended wel-doers actually unpatriotic rebels. how do you think the British felt when we razed their buildings and gained independance from them. furthermore we gave him money and supported him. So on the flip side we are Dr. Frankenstien and he is our beastly creation. i think there may be a better solution as to how to deal with this opponent.
buttsmack 10/21/2001
thses muslims are meer sheep without the herder they will never survive. Kill the bastard!
Shorts 10/20/2001
Just don't kill him that makes him a BIGGER martyr. Lock him up in a cellar with alittle bread & maybe water!! To bad he's only one man & has sooooo many followers. Someone will take his place as soon as he's gone!! That's the terrible thing were all facing. PEACE, Shorts
Boonta23 10/20/2001
He must not live for his evil actions.
musicfan 10/16/2001
Yes, we should assassinate Osama bin Laden. We should assassinate all members of the Taliban as well as all other Arab muslims who are involved in their holy war against "the great satan", The United States of America. They have declared war on us. We have to stop them.
Pit Bull 10/14/2001
Our Government has the technology to find out who was behind this terrible tragedy, They say its Osama Bin Laden! What I think we should do is send a lot of war planes over there and use all the good bombs, and go over to wereever the hell this person is and start nuking the hell outta the place then send people over there on foot (when its safe of course) and kill him!
Marlee 10/11/2001
Then we have to assassinate the guy that replaces him, and then the guy that replaces that guy, and then the guy that replaces that guy.....this could become a way of life. You cannot assassinate hate, you can get to the core of that hate: our foreign policy.
Andrew Gilmore 10/09/2001
I've deleted my earlier comment. After hearing about this video of bin Laden mocking America and asking God to bless the hijackers which was broadcast the other night, I've changed my mind. I say LET'S KILL THAT CRAZY ARAB BASTARD!
afterglow70 10/06/2001
I heard a couple of wks ago that the price for his head was like $5 million. Anyone else hear that? I think that he needs a much higher $$ amount and one of his own will take him out. I agree w/ CastleBee. He is a disease, lets lets give him a little chemo!
pedrogouveia 09/29/2001
I think Osama Bin Laden couldn't care less if he died. "Ais013" makes a good point about him thinking he is dying for God. Justice should be done by other means. I for one believe he should suffer, and there would be nothing worst than giving him solitary for life.
TheFreak 09/20/2001
In my mind, Osama bin Laden is a little like Saddam Hussein. We should not hate him because he hates the US. There are millions of people who hate the US. We have tried to assassinate this man before. No luck. Too well guarded. Bin Laden is not an idiot, people. He is, in fact, dangerously brilliant. If he was the mastermind in this, he knows very well that we are after him. He may even go to such desperate measures as to kill himself. That way, there would be no vengeance acquired. As well as the fact that I think any kind of killing is flat-out wrong. Unfortunately, Dubya, our war-hungry Afghan-hound president, does not realize that not everyone is as dumb as he is. Bin Laden seems to have beaten us in the contest of brains, but if we all just get a little smarter and come to our senses, we will realize that we should be able to outsmart Afghanistan and bin Laden quickly---without killing. And we will still get the last laugh when we throw bin Laden into a filthy, disgusting prison, and that is what we want, right?
rww256 09/19/2001
The sooner the better.
H C B BAGGINS 09/19/2001
There is no doubt in my mind that if Osama bin Laden is responsible for the attack on America he should die. I think this terrorist attack that happened on September 11th 2001 was bin Laden signing his own death certificate. This is the time that the whole world will learn you can't bring America down, no matter what you do.
Rusty 09/18/2001
As soon as I heard that Osama bin Laden was determined to be the mastermind behind the madness that engulfed our nation on September 11, my immediate reaction was to kill the bastard. But as much of a dog as he is (calling someone a dog is the ultimate epithet in Middle Eastern cultures), I submit that killing him only serves to bring America's way of thinking down to his level, which is how he and his ilk want us to react. We are inherently better than his collective mindset---a twisted, warped interpretation of the Qu'ran that paints all Arabs and Muslims as evil, which is far from the case here. Killing innocent people is his way of striking fear and lowering morale so that the U.S. will disavow itself of the Middle East and will surrender Israel to her enemies. I want bin Laden brought to justice, but it should be justice on America's level and on America's terms, which is based upon democracy and constitutional law. I would think that that would be bin Laden's worst nightmare: having justice done on American terms, complete with a defense lawyer, a judge, a jury, etc. However, reality has dictated that, with the exception of his cells worldwide and the Taliban, bin Laden has certainly painted himself in a most unfavorable light in the global community. How could any civilized nation accept his modus operandi for upholding his fanatical interpretation of the Islamic faith? As a Christian, Jesus taught that I should love my friends, and pray for our enemies who would wish to do us harm. God and Allah will be the ultimate judges of bin Laden.
Ais013 09/16/2001
WE SHOULD NOT ASSASINATE OSAMA BIN LADEN BECAUSE HE WILL THINK HE WILL DIE FOR HIS RELIGION, FOR HIS PEOPLE, AND WILL GO TO HEAVEN. WE SHOULD MAKE HIM SUFFER IN THE WORST PRISONS IN THE COUNTRY. I AM NOT AGAINST THE DEATH PENALTY BUT WE HAVE TO MAKE THIS BASTARD SUFFER. ANYONE WHO DOESNT HAVE TRUE EMOTIONS HAS TO KNOW HOW IT FEELS LIKE FOR THOSE AMERICANS WHO HAVE DIED AND THOSE WHO HAVE LOST SOMEBODY. MAKE HIM SUFFER!!!!!
olsaintnic 09/16/2001
If you can prove he's a terroist, why not.
wild8266om 09/15/2001
after they get him Saddam Hussein should be next on the list. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone!
KnightofHo 09/15/2001
Do not let your emotions get to you, I live in New York and I've lost a few friends. In this sitauation like all others, the cooler heads must prevail. We are all bloodthirsty for retribution at the moment, but we must respect the rules of the world whether or not these suicidal terrorists do or not. There is a clause in the conduct of war that assassinations are not allowed. We must take him as a captive, we must take him in such a way that shows that we do not discriminate against all islamic/palestinian people and furthermore we must do it in a way that strikes fear into the hearts of his accomplices and backers. This is now a war, a very big war that is under the global scope, we must conduct ourselves with honor and not blind fury because if we do it will just be eye for an eye until the world is proverbially blind.
