would not work.I probably need to lose about 20 pounds but a new years resolution just would not do it. bad time of the year for one thing being cooped up in the lousy winter weather. and not getting out does not help. it is Spring now and still not ready. I know, excuses excuses.

Isnt this pretty much the same as excersizing (first item)? One of the TOUGHEST battels we face as we get older.

If your fat, that's a given! Of course you want to lose weight!

Started NutriSystem Yesterday.

Losing weight for me is easy because it is a lifestyle and a matter of discipline. It is absolutely possible to say no to junk food if you have no taste, or desire for such food. I found that starting my day off with a good breakfast curbs my cravings and helps me stay trim and fit. One good brand of cereal that tends to curb my appetite is Kellog's low fat Granola. Those trying to lose weight can give this a try.

No doubt about it! I have gained some weight over the last couple of years. I need to lose weight not just for appearances sake, but for health reasons too.
Vudija 12/04/2006
I don't need to lose weight so much as I need to just tone what I do have. I haven't exercised in years, but am still fairly small. I just need to trim a bit...

Certain areas need a serious make over, I need to work on it yesterday.
CherrySoda99 01/11/2006
This is really hard to do. I've done it a couple times myself, and up until like January 5 or 6, it's easy. Maybe a little after, depending on your self control, and where you go to eat. But then, you start to forget, or you make exceptions. Oh, I'm just going to eat this one burger today, then I'll go back to salads and stuff It just doesn't work. You just end up making the same one year after year. It's a good thought though.

I asked my old secretary if this was her New Years Resolution, and then she quit on me!

I'm not a big fan of dieting at all, but I am at my heaviest ever right now. I have always been an athelete and haven't had to worry about my weight as much because I was always playing a sport. However, the past year since I have been out of school I have slowly gained weight. I don't usually make New Years Resolutions, but I think losing weight to get back to a healthier weight is a priority as I start the new year.

one of my resolutions is to start counting carbs. not mine, mind you, but other people's. seriously, i bought some exercise equipment yesterday so one of my resolutions is to exercise more.
irishgit 01/01/2005
I could stand to lose about ten to fifteen, but this is a hard resolution to keep, once you develop a taste for fine food and drink.
numbah16tdhaha 01/01/2005
I am 5'8 and tip the scales at a somewhat skanky 162 lbs. 175 and solid is my goal.
CastleBee 01/01/2005
Oh, ALWAYS! And of course, theres no chance of forgetting this since 'tis now the season to be lambasted by Slim Fast, Subway's Jared and other self appointed diet gurus, CortiSlim, Lean Cuisine, and hawkers of every kind of exercise program and apparatus in the western hemisphere.
scarletfeather 12/29/2004
This is my resolution every year. I always want to lose at least a few pounds.
ClassicTVFan47 01/28/2004
Don't need too! I'm only 110!
tvtator 01/03/2004
I did it and it wasn't a new years resolution either.
fwmorris 01/03/2004
I need to lose a minimum of 20 pds this year, but that becomes secondary to excersise and a general well being.
OrangeCharlie 12/26/2003
Every year I vow to lose weight. Maybe this coming year will be the year it actually happens.
kolby1973 12/25/2003
This is one of my top resolutions, I make this one every year. Or to at least stay at the weight I am now, I would be happy.
