How can you expect others to love you, if you don't love yourself.

got to admit I should learn to do this way better. have a lot of self doubt and disappointments  in myself. wish I could like myself better. may sound whiney but I really wish I were not so hard on myself.easier said than done.

Easier said than done and it's very hard to change your mindset just like that. Doing things like working out or joining a club anything to give yourself confidence helps greatly with the process.

Obviously, this is a great resolution for certain people...but...to "start" loving oneself, implies that I didn't love myself before. I already love myself, so I wouldn't make it a point to make this a resolution for the upcoming year.

I respect myself and like myself enough to encourage another person to do the same. Love me or hate me, but you better respect me.

It is a good idea because you need to care about yourself and as a resolution a good idea put in a bad use of words.

Isn't that the slogan for Vibrators R Us? But seriously, its an excellent idea for those afflicted with self-hatred to develop a healthier views of themself. Once you love yourself, you are better able to provide love for other people.
