I am convinced that copious amounts of alcohol (really, really bad alcohol) was involved with the conception of this game. I had to look this up on Wikipedia to understand what the whole broom thing was about. And though now I know what it's for, it still seems like an overly complicated way to get that big rock to that target.

Curling is a strangely addicting thing to watch on television. Its like Bocce ball on ice, so I expect the Italians to be into this in Torino. However, they may be confused with the whole broom thing.

A fascinating and exciting sport that is wholly and completely unique. It really is basically shuffleboard on ice--but that ice adds a whole new dimension to it. Also, a unique scoring system and the addition of numerous strategies makes it even more fascinating. I'm definately looking forward to watching this more up to and during the next Winter Olympiad!

Poker is more of a sport than this but I love it. You can't argue with stupid sports.

I've witnessed some poor excuses for sports before, but this one has to be tops. I can't imagine why the IOC would make this an event. I mean, people who win this "event" are carrying around gold medals that are the same quality as the ski jumpers, downhill ski-ers, bobsledders, and lugers. I put this on a level with bumper bowling. I'm sorry, but I think this should be taken out. Who in the world would want to sit and watch this stuff?

I'm still amazed how this event ever got accepted by the Olympic board. If Curling should be in the Winter Olympics, let's have horseshoe throwing in the Summer Olympics, C'MON! Still, it is interesting to watch (for about 10 minutes). I wonder if there are any multi-generational curling families who have been in Olypmics' gone by. Plus, you would never hear a commentator go, "wow, look at them curl, what agile, fine-tuned atheletes."

it is only fun to watch when it is a short game!

Three stars for comedy value alone. My favorite aspect is the guys who run along the course furiously sweeping the ice so that the "rock" slides straight. Shouldn't there be some level of worldwide popularity (e.g. Snowboarding) or at lease level of difficulty / danger (Ski Jumping) before a sport is accepted as an Olympic event?
