The poor man's Chicago Tribune. Not bad, but a little tabloid - every headline rates 5 point type - and not quite as complete as the Tribune. There is, however, one notable exception: the Friday section detailing things to do in Chicago, and the movie reviews, which include Roger Ebert, are superior to those in the Tribune.

Robert Novak has a personality like nails on a black board and I always thought Siskel the better critic (the same cannot be said of Roeper). Still the Sun-Times is a decent source of news and it doesn't have the Tribs pretentions. The columnists generally have a nicely smart ****d attitude; you might not learn anything from the Times but at least you won't be bored. Also, two pages of horoscopes, come on you all know you read em.

It gets a five, by far. It is the least biased newspaper that I have ever seen, and it has the Robert Novak column, and the Roger Ebert movie picks, so you couldnt ask for more out of a paper. Also, it is worth noting that if you actually go to Chicago, you find that more people read the Sun-Times than the Tribune.
