he sure was pitiful after spending so much time running and underground. he know longer was in power and he had no way of getting it back. he should have stepped down when asked.

Again this was a very big event, because the Americans have been after him for years. So this was a big milestone. But Hussein wasn't as evil as the President wanted him to be (didn't have those weapons of mass destruction after all.)

The capture of Saddam Hussein certainly was an important symbolic victory in the War on Terrorism, but over a month later, it is clear that it has done little to disband the loosely affiliated Hussein loyalists and Islamic fundamentalists that threaten our troops. Hussein is behind bars, yes, but Iraq still remains an unstable and dangerous place. Realistically, the capture of one man is not going to change that.
