 | forgotten hero (15) 03/11/2006 | Not much of a sport if you need a panel of judges to tell you who won.

 | Rhapsody22 (12) 02/22/2006 | Okay, I'm a girly girl, I'll admit it. This is my favorite Olympic event by far and the American team is so wonderful this year. Sasha Cohen, Kimmie Meissner and Emily Hughes are all poised, talented athletes who have been a joy to watch this season.

 | Drummond (60) 02/22/2006 | I usually find the event boring, but I did enjoy the drama last night setting up the rivalry between the top Russian and top American.
Still, everything's a letdown since the old Harding/Kerrigan feud. Why wasn't a movie ever made about that???

 | sfalconer (22) 11/01/2004 | Any thing that requires judging in my book is not a sport. It is more like performance art that any thing else. It is called figure skating because the used to have to draw figures in the ice with there skates and I would assume that would be much easier to judge becuase they had to do them a certain way. Since that element is eliminated it all comes down to opinion and that make no sense.

 | lukskywlkr. (3) 11/14/2002 | If this was judged fairly, then it would be acceptable, but the way it is now, the eastern block countries almost always vote for someone in that region over say, an American or Canadian. Nancy Kerrigan outskated Oksana Baiul a few years ago, but because Baiul smiled and shook her butt at the judges, they felt in necessary to overlook her mistakes and give her a (tarnished) gold medal.

 | AmazingMole (0) 10/27/2002 | I became a figure skating fan when I watched Michelle Kwan at 98' nationals. I fell in love with the beautiful moves and costumes. I was hooked for a while. But, I lost interest. I was sick of skaters recycling their programs, corrupt judges who can't do their job, and too much focus on the jumps.

 | ofofofof (0) 08/17/2002 | single skating and double skating are pretty boring but i watch it just to see the skaters from my country (if you want to know which, just ask.....) .

 | gunner217 (0) 03/22/2002 | Figure skating is tar paper, it shouldnt even be in the games. It's not a sport, sports dont have judging for artist merit. Let's vote this joke out of the #1 spot.
