 | reeny (6) 09/08/2008 | i am very much anti-reality show. it's a testament to a big lack of creativity in the entertainment industry. i am referring to reality shows of the non-discovery channel type of course.

 | Molfan (64) 03/18/2008 | Got to admit I do not like reality shows. they are everwhere now. and in the last couple of years have hit an all time low. getting people to compete against each other and encourage them to be a ruthless as possible. now they even have a reality-game show. the meanest one Moment of Truth. I only saw a few minutes and it was enough for me. hook someone up to a truth monitor bring on their family and for big money ask them some of the most hurtful questions they can answer. have a camera on the family member to watch their reactions. and the truth monitor will tell if the person is lying or not. How cruel can you get in the line of entertainment? my goodness. humiliate yourself for big money! no way. the reality shows are not reality at all since the producers only film and show what they want on these shows. I turn the TV off before i will watch this garbage.

 | twansalem (45) 03/18/2008 | Reality TV is almost entirely trash. Even the few watchable exceptions aren't good shows, they just happen to be funny, often for unintentional reasons. (Example: Ted Nugent's reality show. It was a horribly made show, but for some reason I found it hilarious.)

 | angryjed (2) 12/07/2007 | Huge moneymaking scheme by writers and producers who don't have to hire talent. It shows.

 | Djahuti (57) 10/15/2006 | When it says "Reality",you can bet it ain't even close! They found a way to get dupes instead of having to pay Actors and Actresses union wages.I guess there really is a "sucker born every minute" !

 | Redoedo (41) 10/25/2005 | Absolutely dreadful. It's getting beyond ridiculous, with people marrying midgets for money and eating bugs on a deserted island (surrounded by television production cameras, of course). The popularity of this stuff is beyond me.

 | numbah16tdhaha (162) 09/26/2005 | The hatred I have for reality TV is hard to put to words. The joke is on us in the end as networks won't have to pay stars with the way people will prostitute themselves out to these shows. Way to fatten up the networks, you morons.

 | GenghisTheHun (181) 09/26/2005 | One thing that is beneficial about reality tv and that is that the long-suffering viewer can concentrate on the remaining programming. We do not have enough time to watch everything. If reality takes over everthing, you can do other things such as work on your RIA--finish reading "Ulysses"--have your gums scraped, etc..

 | sunflowerseed (0) 08/28/2005 | What happened to the days of scripted television that showcased talented actors and writers. Nowadays, any moron can be a star.

 | texasyankee (22) 06/06/2005 | I have to admit there was a reality show I enjoyed, Trading Spaces- at one time. They had a couple of designers that really did a lot of cool things with 1000 dollars. Also gave you some good ideas for wall treatments, but now the designers are bad and it's just another one of those shows that started out a good idea, but has gone on for far too long.

 | TJGypsy2 (7) 06/05/2005 | What amazes me isn't the number of shows, or even really the subject matter of some of them. T.V. executives are well known for taking a successful idea and running into the ground. What amazes me is that so many millions of Americans will actually watch this crap. Even if a lot of them won't admit to it. I've yet to see an ad for a reality t.v. series that A) interests me in the least and B) actually has anything to do with reality. I think that some of these executives should be ashamed for some of the things that we've seen make it to the screen, most especially for Who's Your Daddy? Whatever genius thought THAT was a good idea should be barred from tv for good.

 | Mad Hatter (38) 05/17/2005 | I can't stand Reality TV. Also, how much reality is there when they are handed everything they need to get thru the experince. You want Real Reality T.V., give Paris Hilton a pair of nail clippers and tell her that's all she gets to give herself a manicure.

 | southparker9 (0) 04/19/2005 | Whenever I see a commercial for a reality show, I think someone will watch. To quote Lisa Simpson, You'll never go broke appealing to the lowest common denominator. These 'shows' are for execs to save money on writers and sets. They also save time and money looking for good quality scripts. How boring is my life that I have to watch someone else's? Thanks TV for contributing to a dumbing down of American children.

 | Donovan (141) 04/07/2005 | Reality TV has run its course and in fact run it into the ground. Its time to stop the madness and go back to programming that requires some creativity.

 | frogger20190 (3) 11/24/2004 | When will it end?????????
I HATE reality TV. Actually, reality TV has allowed me to cancel cable TV and I have read and watched more movies in the past 2 years. So perhaps it's a good thing after all.
Worst of the worst: Fear Factor. My eight year old niece is permitted to watch this crap WHILE THEY EAT DINNER. I witnessed this show watch and nearly upchucked my dinner. Nice stuff.

 | jazzybee (4) 08/20/2004 | Exactly the reason why I watch Game Show Network and TV Land. Reality TV is clogging up the cable that I pay 60 bucks a month for. And reality TV is what I get. At least Classic TV and game shows never get old. even the reruns are something new. Oh yeah, American Idol has got to go!!
