He's popular, he appears to be competent, and the voters have got the taste of blood out of their mouths. Won't happen.

Nah. He's pretty popular out here, and even screaming liberals like me want him to do well. Californians are an optimistic bunch compared to the rest of the country.

He's fairly popular right now and seems to be doing a good job. In fact, he's exceeded expectations, so I doubt this will happen. I know of a liberal group who's trying to start a recall movement, but unlike last year with Gray Davis, the political climate isn't suitable for this.
