The little people employed by Santa are not slave laborers. Anyone can see that they are skilled artisans, proud of their work, and deliriously happy that they have a warm place to work in up at the North Pole. Inasmuch as they do not have to associate with many full-sized people, they consider themselves to be normal and everyone who is bigger to abnormal. They put up with Santa because he has a nice wife (who is a small old lady). One thing they are not too happy about is cleaning up all of the mess the reindeer leave in their stalls - it's tough shoveling all of that stuff when you're that low to the ground.

Nah, I think he would've gotten rid of the labor after the internet came about--being able to order stuff online is probably easier. Besides, wouldn't Microsoft sue them for every XBox the elves make to give to kids?

Actually, he subcontracts his work out to a series of sweatshops in Singapore and Thailand. They work a lot cheaper than those gravy-sucking unionized elves.

Aside from one who wanted to become a dentist and the legendary Ninja Elves of the South Pole, the elves under Santa's employ are very happy workers with great insurance, good pay and incredible morale. Not to mention...FREE TOYS!

They should really form a union, I have a feeling Santa would have trouble outsourcing considering the flagging labor pool for small magical elves recently.

They aren't slaves. The elves are well-paid, get lots of vacation time, have an enviable Dental plan, and only eat candy canes and gingerbread. They also really resent being called midgets, and will club you with hammers if you mention the M-word too many times around them.
