Sure. Who wouldn't rather tune in the latest episode of (take your pick) Survivor, Pokeman, Star Trek, Jerry Springer, re-runs of Cheers etc. etc. than experience a little intimacy.

Um no that's what vcr's, recordable DVD players and TIVO is for to record your favorite tv shows. This gives you more time to spend a romantic evening with your significant other.

There are many brilliant television shows out there (from Frasier to Pokemon to Star Trek Voyager and so on), and while television can produce many positive emotions, I hardly think it could match up to the intimacy and pleasure of...well...you know. :)
