12/01/2005 | Ok, I know it is socially degenerate to like this flick, but I don't care. I like Richard Dreyfuss and he shines in this outing. He is a gambler loser in a society of gambler losers. They are always at the track and blowing all their money. Then one day magic happens. Teri Garr is also fun.

11/07/2004 | A hilariously ascerbic romp through a degenerate gambler's one perfect day at the racetrack. Dreyfus is brilliantly witty, Robby Coltrane is hilarious, and a fine supporting cast of track rats make for one of the funniest and cleverest movies involving sports ever made.
