 | Redoedo (41) 06/18/2005 | Made invaluable contributions to the nation that he loved, first by helping to make the world aware of our intentions to be a free and independent nation, and then as President of the United States. Enkindu is correct in asserting that the nation would hardly be the same without his contributions.

 | DrMojo (0) 06/04/2004 | Heck, his Jeffersonian Bible is just one reason the guy was astonishing. It's always hilarious to hear the hollow breast-beating of the religious right about our founding fathers -- and then read Jefferson.

 | Anonymous (1) 01/15/2004 | Jefferson's concept of democracy is still used in many countries today. He truly believed in it.

 | freebird_0128 (5) 01/12/2004 | A brilliant leader and a gentle man, he appreciated fine learning, nature, music and the human soul. He also knew the importance of words- without his draft of the Declaration I doubt we would be the nation we are.

 | LadyShark4534 (12) 01/12/2004 | I don't know much about what he did with Sally Hemmings. Could anyone fill me in on that?
Other than that, He was well educated.

 | irishgit (151) 01/11/2004 | A brilliant man, albeit subject to some of the frailties of humanity. A fine and clever president. The Oval Office should be so graced again.

 | Enkidu (38) 01/11/2004 | Profound, brilliant man. I despair that someone of his intelligence and depth could ever be elected again. Without his contribution, the U.S. would be a much different place, and not for the better.
