04/15/2004 | Way more inventive and talented than most people gave them credit for. Yes, their first album was kind of Nirvana/Pearl Jam for frat boys, but they settled into their own ideas pretty quickly after that. I know a lot of snotty musical elitists who hate any band that's sold more than 1000 albums, but a lot of them will admit that STP are a good band. I have to agree with them.
