The Tigers are the only team who gets away with yellow road pants (or in LSU's case, anytime they were white jerseys). I personally like the purple jerseys myself, but the white jerseys at home are ok.

Baton Rouge...home of the busiest, most cluttered football helmet in college football. I mean, come on...logos, letters AND stripes?! LSU has more crap on their helmets than Allbarn has mascots/nicknames. Remember Tinky Winky, the Teletubby? Wasn't HE purple? The white home jerseys are in all ways preferable.

Thats a Classic Uniform ... the helmet, the logo, and the Shoulder stripes are Sooo much College Football. Tradition has all to do with it. And I like that.

The Tiger uniforms are awesome!!! My favorite logo, in all of college football, is the snarling Tiger head on their helmets!!! The classic white jerseys and gold pants, at home, with the purple and gold shoulder stripes, capture the essence of college football tradition. Geaux Tigers!!!!!!!

LSU has worn the current style white jersies at home since 1957. The exception was when the NCAA passed a regulation that said all teams must wear their colors at home and we wore purple for a few years. The only teams that had to change were LSU and Georgia Tech since they were the only teams that didn't wear a color at home. Finally the NCAA relented and let LSU wear white home jersies if the visiting team agreed. While I was a student I never saw the purple jersies. I think we wore them on the road in Miami when their coach (Fran Curci who later coached at Kentucky and pulled the same trick when we would play in Lexington) changed to white jersies to force us to wear purple jersies (which used to be considered unlucky). My suggestion was to have the Louisiana Legislature pass a state law that said white was LSU's home color and tell the NCAA to stuff it and deal with something important.

I'm Louisiana born and bred. I'm a huge LSU fan. I cut my teeth listening to John Ferguson call the Tiger games in the 70s. I love the classic look of the purple-n-gold. I think the white home jerseys are terrific, and the tradition was (Saban brought it back) to wear purple jerseys for homecoming. When you see those shoulder stripes, I think of LSU.

I might get my degree revoked for saying this, but I do like the LSU uniforms. The stripes on the shoulders is nice. The fact that they insist on white with gold pants at home is a unique thing in College Football. The helmets with LSU and the Tiger head is nice. Those fans though.................

Helmets need to be changed. That yellow is just as bad as Oregon's. Otherwise good uniforms. Too bad Spurrier still isn't in the SEC to make them wear purple bi-annually!

A great uni that has been their look forever. The Dallas Cowboys of college football in that they wear white jerseys at home. Their look will never change. (Please, no more yellow jerseys when another team chooses to wear white at home. Just bust out the old purple jerseys when you have to wear them.)
