10/19/2007 | Plays a frantastic part in all 3 of the films and the best thing about gollum is he makes frodo believe that he is agood guy! but sam is havin none of it and then on the 3rd and final film he throws bread of a mountain(gollum)and makes frodo believe that am did it! great character and he is english!

10/14/2004 | An excellant actor, but in LOTR he didn't have to do that much acting. I know, he had to do all that work and never got his face on screen, he just doesn't compare with the other actors and actresses. Andy Serkis needs his own catagory.

04/02/2004 | This was truly dynamic work. Andy Serkis not only did the voice for the character of Gollum, but he also was the model for all the movements. He had to crawl around on his haunches while a computer traced his movements, had to pose for hours while photographs were taken of the different angles of his natural face, and had to abuse his vocal chords to reach a new height of voice-over acting. Amazing work.

01/14/2004 | Andy Serkis deserves to be commended for the fantastic way he brought Gollum to life. He took a computer-animated character and made him unforgettable. From the voice to the movement he performed himself to just creating Gollum the way he did, he was all together fabulous.

01/12/2004 | Relizing that Andy had to act a computer generated character, walk aroung on all 4's in a skin tight suit and do Gollum's rather raspy annoying voice ( which he modeled after his cat by the way) gives me more of a respect for this man all over. too bad he didn't get more credit for it.
