Having said that, get over yourselves. Bush says more than his share of dumb things, but this wasn't one of them. It was a deliberate, scripted joke, as a non-selective reading of the speech would tell you, and as another reviewer has observed.

He's not *that* dumb -- he was making a joke! And I think it's pretty darn funny. If you look at the full speech, you'll notice a lot of laughter throughout, and you'll notice that his next line after this one is "thankfully, it's my portrait."
