 | Sundiszno (30) 05/30/2004 | I'll sort of narrow down the scope of this comment and focus on what I believe to be the best engineering and design of high-end, high performance automobiles. With the legendary Ferrari and Lamoborghini, my belief is that Italy leads the pack by a wide margin. Someone who is a real automotive expert might challenge that belief. These cars can sometimes be temperamental, and maintenance is expensive (and frequent), but for sheer guts, speed, road-handling ability, and just lookin' good, these are awesome machines. Among the many cars I have owned, I once had a 1967 Fiat Dino coupe (essentially a Ferrari built by Fiat to circumvent Italian tax laws on low volume production cars)- a real screamer, especially since I owned it while I was stationed in Italy and could let it run the way it was meant to.
