You might be naive if you believe the listmaker didn't have an ulterior motive in compiling this list.

The issue has nothing to do with being a democrat or republican. The issue is life. A 5 months old fetus is a human being and should be protected and defended constitutionally, especially because he/she cannot defend him/her self. Abortion is murder, regardless of the excuses for it. And those who practice it must pay the same penalty as those who kill anyone. Execution of a rapist and murderer is a just and fair retribution for the actions committed. An embryo is innocent by default. A rapist and murderer is guilty by default.

Having sex is constitutional. Destroying a human life should be unconstitutional and severely punished. Simple as that. When a practitioner performs an abortion, he must be placed at the same level as a cold blooded, premeditated murderer. And the mother charged with complicity to commit murder.

Who's the myopian who wrote this utter garbage, which is so blind it's a waste of everyone's time? Turn it around: "You think the state has a right to kill an 18-year-old because he was convicted by a hostile jury on circumstantial evidence, or send him to die in a war he doesn't believe in, but you feel a woman so lacks the right to decide on her own body that she should have to give up everything, even possibly her life, to bring a child into a world that doesn't want it." This is the same tired question (how can you be pro-choice and anti-death penalty) that we have been hearing from people who are still thinking of their 8th-grade classroom debates, and who haven't educated themselves enough to recognize that the proposition can be turned against them (how can you be anti-choice and pro-death penalty). I'm not saying there isn't a case to be made against abortion, but that case would certainly have nothing to do with the death penalty. Most pro-choice Democrats are at least smart enough not to use such myopic rhetorical tactics.

I Don't believe in abortions, I think you shouldnt blame the baby, just because you made the wrong choice on opening your legs. If you don't want the baby you should give it to someone who wants it, or someone who can't have kids who really wants children. You shouldnt ever kill a baby, it's not their faults that they came, it's how couples make choices. If it's an accident, then get help. Don't put it into your own hands, if you can't handle it. There's always help out there, even if you think it's not. The other thing I want to say is, I don't believe in someone being on death row. The reason why I say this is because, I think everybody deserves a second chance, because half of these murderers and rapists didnt have guidance in there life, and it's not some of their faults, but killing isnt right either. So what im saying is everyone deserve another chance and the people who decide if a murderer should be on death row, it's wrong because their charging them with murder, but their doing the same thing by putting them to death!!!!.If you think that im wrong then leave me a comment!!!!!!!

I believe in abortion but I also believe in the death penalty. Any one who kills other people deserve to be on death row, no matter who the victim is. I am a "mixed breed" person with both liberal and conservative beliefs. I support abortion, gay marriage, and the death penalty and oppose the legalization of drugs and prostitution and teenage sex.

How about killing innocent babies is wrong yet white bible-thumpers look the other way to a war that has killed thousands of innocent civilians? Oh, that's right- they're not white or christian. . . Pro-life means some people are okay to save and some are not. . .Thou shall not kill - (as long as it isn't in front of me) The idea that pro-choicers are (in the majority) anti-death penalty is a dated idea only held by conservatives that haven't spent time in college in 20 years. . .if they went to college at all.

As I have said before, abortion cheapens life and a murderer or rapists that gets a light sentence, cheapens justice.Liberals do not know what justice means.Update:Innocent citizens? You mean the same ones who send in 10 year olds with bombs strapped to their bodies? The same ones who drive a explosive loaded vehicle into our embassy? That argument that we don't believe in abortion, but we believe in killing innocent people will not fly with me!!!War is war!

I am sick and tired of people saying that I support abortion because I am a democrat. And who says we don't want the man who raped her put to death? Talk about making things up!

Time to unlurk and drop my two cents worth. Firstly, while I believe that morally abortion is murder, legally I believe that the government cannot legislate morality when it comes to this grey area. I respect a woman's right to choose, but I will not pay for, advocate, or otherwise endorse the choice to end a pregnancy unless the mother's life is in great danger, which very few situations would live up to stat criteria. Second, I do not believe that the death penalty is an appropriate punishment because it would make us no better then the criminal. I believe life without parole is the better choice here, both for the moral reason of not murdering the murderer, but also to give the murderer some time to think about what he or she has done, time for guilt to worm into their psyche. Time to sit and stir before meeting your maker au natural is more fitting in my mind then the state taking his life as revenge or an example to others. You may or may not agree, and that's fine with me. It is our collective voice at the polls that will decide how it all pans out, but I will stick to my guns. UPDATE: I dislike when people label others based on their party, race, sex, or anything else. A book is a lot more then the cover, people.

I believe in abortion; but being 5 months along, is a little too late. At 5 months, that child is a breathing, living being. For the other scenario...the rapist would fry.

Liberal intellectual Peter Singer from Princeton U. actually defends the right of the parents to determine AFTER the birth of the child, whether they wish to keep the child or terminate its life. This logic is consistent with the premise for abortion rights: Human desire is the defining characteristic in every secular defense of freedom by social contract. Why should the parents be forced to raise someone they don't find up to snuff? If choice of the parent is a superior right that trumps life at 3 months or 5 months in the womb, or even the day before birth why not 5 hours after? The legal procedure therefore defines the public morality obfuscated by an attempt to claim neutrality on such beastly acts and only those in power can then exercise their desired rights. A rater actually responded in a pathetic attempt to defend murder of the unborn that he was not endowed by a Creator that he was created by his mother. To which I asked so you think your mother should be able to kill you until you're 18 years old under the current system? He has yet to answer that question. That being said the abortion lobby is a multi-BILLION dollar business (yeah murder of the unborn and the slave trade the two businesses Democrats have had no problem defending) and the liberal minority has usurped the power of the majority through the court system. As it pertains to the death penalty liberals are against it for the wrong reasons. They still insist that somehow it's society's fault that some can't fulfill their obligations for liberty and therefore those who do should pay for this with a loss of their's. I personally don't believe the death penalty is intrinsically immoral particularly to defend society from a barbaric individual. However, as the death penalty is currently being exercised I have severe concerns and do not support it. One, it is seemingly unjust that simply because one is impoverished he is should be more likely to receive the ultimate penalty. Two, juries are far from perfect and I simply do not trust that mistakes can not be made. Lastly, there are viable options for permanently removing barbarians from ordered society short of terminating their lives. But in the context of the question, yeah you probably are a Democrat if you think murder of the unborn is justifiable for choice but the termination of a life that has been judged by his peers and is considered a threat is not.

Aborting a 5 month fetus because her pregnancy would interfere with her career: WHO DOES THAT? Honestly, who? And those who would spare the life of the serial killer/rapist are very few and far between!

Yeah, we wouldn't want to impede anyone with something so insignificant as HUMAN LIFE, but lets not be too hard on the animalistic killer. Value on human life also means valuing punishment for those that have no value for it.

I don't approve of abortion for trivial reasons. Any woman who is so serious about her career she doesn't want to get pregnant should be on birth control. Any man who rapes and murders 14 women deserves the death penalty. Good riddance!

That is the exact point that I try to make to liberals every single time I debate with them on this issue. This is the perfect example of double standards I say liberals establish.

Good point - I've never understood why liberals think this way (I would prefer to say liberal instead of Democrat because there are a few very rare Democrats who are opposed to abortion too).

Not all democrats feel this way; most of my personal political beliefs would be considered Democratic, including being against the death penalty, but I'm anti-abortion.

As you can see, logic rarely enters into the mind of a democrat.
