 | Molfan (58) 09/25/2004 | I must admit that i do not believe a person who works in a factory deseves an ridiculous amount of money to put something together than someone who has gone to college for 10 years to be a doctor. I know this is a touchy subject but I live in a town where they make cars and it is sickening how much the get paid and whine for more money. and most of them only have a high school graduaution. by the way, i consider myself an Independent when I vote.

 | pabob (2) 01/20/2004 | Most intelligent folks don't feel this way, but those who believe in a socialist approach to society do. It all comes down to what you value the most: what you drive or your health? As far as the occupations themselves: obviously far more skill and knowledge is needed by a doctor that you will entrust your health to than the skill required by an individual who will place parts on a vehicle in an assembly line. Not minimizing the importance of the skills needed by an assemblyman, but there are very good reasons why doctors have to attend and successfully pass the rigors of medical school.

 | forgotten hero (13) 01/18/2004 | So the point that's being made here is that the guy that sits in the cubical and does nothing deserves more money than the guy that risks his life working with explosives and other hazardous materials because the jerk in the cubical spent a couple extra years learning skills that he doesn't even use.

 | ClassicTVFan47 (36) 01/18/2004 | No! Simple equation here. More education, more effort = more $$$, more respect (as far as jobs go)
