Lambert-St Louis proudly displays Charles Lindbergh's personal ''monocoupe,'' reminding travelers of how far aviation has come in a short time. The airport also boasts two glorious murals: Reinhardt's "Aviation: An American Triumph" and Taylor's "Black Americans In Flight." The airport is chock full of history: The first U.S. President to fly in a plane, Teddy Roosevelt, made his first flight here, and ''Lucky Lindy'' departed from here to New York in preparation for his famous transatlantic flight. The artwork and styling of the terminals reflect the rich tradition of aviation in St. Louis.
