05/11/2008 | It kind of goes hand-in-hand with being patient for me. I think that there's importance in being understanding, but I also think that your friends should also push you a bit to be better. If they become so understanding that they ignore the things you need to change, than your relationship with that person won't take you where you need to be.

05/23/2007 | A think a good quality in friendship definitely is understanding your friend, and knowing that your friend will understand you. Get to know your friends so well that you can read them and they can read you. Then misunderstandings will be rare.

04/04/2006 | I always try to be understanding even if I disagree. Until I know all angles of a story I cannot state an oppinion. Its hard with some people but even when they have done things to hurt people I try to listen and be understanding. I tend to be around people who also give me this curtousy when disagreeing with me.

03/08/2003 | A good friend should be very understanding. They do not always have to agree with you or your actions, but they should also respect your views and opinions, and UNDERSTAND them. They also need to be understanding when you are going through a very tough time and simply need someone to talk to who doesn't have an opinion about everything.
