The best part about this film were the battle scenes, very realistic, particularly the flame/torch catapults flying through the sky. They actually looked like a legitimate battle scenes, as opposed to cheesey, pre-fab takes on a Hollywood set. The rest of the film was fairly decent, but nowhere near being a classic epic.

Pure cheese. Did you catch that terrible speech by that actress at the end of the movie? He was a soldier of Rome - people actually chuckled at the theater. . .
