This movie can make a grown man cry ( I almost did).

I watched this film, essentially to see what all the previous Oscar fuss was about...and boy, did it blow me away. The tale is heart-wrenching and Adrien Brody was phenominal. He managed to give the role delicacy, strength and intimate realism. He truly deserved his Oscar for this marvelous, true story.

This was one of the most riveting movies that I have ever had the honor to watch. It had the depth of Schindler's List, but yet it had its own unique quality lent by Adrien Brody in the title role. The characters were real, the story was real. I particularly liked how one Nazi was portrayed as a human being, when we so often think of them all as monsters. This movie was so tragic and so true that I went through a box of tissues by the end. I definitely recommend it to anyone -- just be prepared for violence and personal heartbreak.
