A terrible film of epic proportions.

As history it may only be so-so but as a movie I thought it was pretty good.

Want to see a real war movie on the events of Pearl Harbour, then U picked a wrong one, better try 1970 classic 'Tora-Tora'. All of those who turned the 'Titanic' into an oscar churning machine may actually like this one.

This had the potential to be a very good movie and yet it fell horribly short. Too much emphasis was put on the silly, Harlequin novel romance they tried to develop and this sunk the rest of the movie. No pun intended. All in all, it's not a bad flick; the acting is moderate and the effects were pleasing but there's nothing to inspire or really make it a great epic.
