 | irishgit (151) 04/17/2008 | Charming and picturaesque, its fishing villages grace calendars throughout North America.
Beset with a history of politicians so crooked that the only thing they would not steal is a red hot stove, it has languished as little more than a Maritime tourist haven since Confederation.

 | whatistrueandfalse (0) 04/01/2006 | Nova Scotia is a poor province. People are poorly educated. Mostly families of inbreeds thoughout the province. They are crooks. They will jump on any opportunity to rip off people. They smile when you pay and bash you once you are out the door. They will do anything for a bit of money. Women get pregnant to sue and stop working and lots of STDs.
Consider visiting Newfoundland instead.

 | CherrySoda99 (31) 08/26/2004 | I live here. It's beautiful and the place is clean and small. Nice place for a vacation. I live in a smaller part of it. I visited Cape Breton this summer, and it's not bad either. We have a lot of smaller fishing villages like Lunenburg, but we have bigger cities like Halifax, Dartmouth, and Sackville. My town of Bridgewater is kind of a mix. It's not a village, and it's not a city. We're actually getting a Walmart next fall, and we just got a movie theater.

 | TriSec (2) 07/21/2004 | My favorite place to visit in the entire world. I've been going to NS for more than 20 years and have never had a bad experience.
Don't miss the Maritime Museum in Halifax, or the Fisheries Museum in Lunenburg, either is worth your entire trip!
The Lighthouse Route and also Kejimkujik National Park are also favorites, and well off the beaten path. Some real solitude and majestic scenery can be had there.

 | Mary Ehler (0) 02/28/2004 | It is such a beautiful and pristine place. The Cabot trail was amazing and it was great to see small fishing towns. The people were also very hospitable and kind.

 | lexxy56 (0) 01/11/2004 | Great place! All you need in a city. Good nightlife(tons of bars). The scenery is great if u love the ocean. And the people are very friendly. If your lost they don't just give u directions, they'll take you there!lol

 | StanUzbeck (16) 08/28/2003 | Halifax is a fun city, but this province is totally overrated. They have this funny accent, which is cute, but I suspect that there is as much ignorance and alcoholism among fishermen as there is among farmers in Saskatchewan. The Trailer Park Boys is the best thing to ever come out of NS (Go Ricky and J-Rock!!!!)
