 | Drummond (54) 02/23/2006 | Actually, Michael Moore is a Democrat, though he did support Nader in 2000.

 | Vudija (92) 02/17/2006 | Don't feel bad, Stark; I must be crazy too. I watched both Farenheit 9/11 and Farhenhype 9/11, as part of an English assignment. He's just as corrupt and manipulative as the next political being. He's in it to get money and start some major controversies, and that's about all. I give him credit for the entertainment value, but not for his facts. The man should NOT be taken seriously, and even he knows it.

 | BIGBABY (10) 10/15/2004 | No one should take any liar who uses death to make money seriously. His movies are full of lies. For example, in BFC, he has a little world image of events of the world. He claims the following. 1953:US overthrows Prime Minister of Iran. In reality, he was removed for several reasons, one of which being he was trying to take over the military of Iran. US installs Shah as dictator. Another lie. The Shah had been ruling Iran for 400+ years. We simply put him back into the office he had. 1963: US backs the assassination of South Vietnamese President Diem. There is absolutely no evidence that Kennedy wanted him dead. None. 1989: CIA agent Manuel Noriega disobeys orders from Washington. Noriega was never, EVER a CIA agent. 1990: Iraq invades Kuwait with weapons from US. Actually, 99% of Iraq's weapons came from other countries, 50% being of the Soviet Union. 2001: US gives Taliban-ruled Afghanistan $245 million in aid. Yes, we did. And unlike what his wording would lead you too believe, not a penny went to the government or Bin Laden. Spetember 11, 2001: Usama Bin Laden uses his expert CIA training to murder 3,000 people. This is a complete lie. Bin Laden never had any CIA training. Mr. Moore does in fact hate the United States. He falsely blames the US for everything thats happened. Its sad so many light headed people believe what this man says.

 | Mr Happy (0) 05/19/2004 | Michael Moore's media is political. There would be no reason for him to show the other side of the story, just as John Kerry and George Bush wouldn't either. 3 groups of fact checkers and 2 groups of lawyors went through every detail of 'bowling for columbine before it was released. Do you know how much he has been sued for making that movie? $0 If what he says was the truth, or it was bullshit. You, the media, and the politicians are going to try to bring him down anyway 'cause everyone s**tscared of him.

 | oldiesmusicfan101 (3) 02/09/2004 | I find it hard to take Michael Moore seriously. I saw Bowling for Columbine and he only showed one side of the argument. It isn't like he made it as a comedy, he made the movie as a documentary. In all he is a biased movie maker that shows something in the worst light possible, without showing the other side of the argument. A completly ridiculous man.

 | forgotten hero (13) 01/19/2004 | Wait a minute. Let me get this straight. There are people out there that actually take Michael Moore seriously?

 | JonTheMan (27) 01/19/2004 | For the record, I do not believe Moore hates America. There is a difference between hating the decisions of a countries government and hating the country itself. Indeed since Moore seeks to make things better for Americans, even if you don't agree with his methods, he simply cannot be considered anti-american. Overall he is a man who likes to expose and sometimes overly exacerbate the ills of all the worlds governments, particularly the one led by George Dubya (and to sell a lot of books while he's at it, naturally). Can I take him seriously? Sometimes I can and sometimes I can't (like when he pretends to be God for example, or the shame on you speech), but whenever he makes a fair point about innocent people being exploited or killed, liberties being crushed by those who would claim to protect them, I think it would be a bad idea not to.

 | abichara (60) 01/19/2004 | I'm not part of the whole blame America cabal. Look, our foreign policy might be arrogant at times and we certainly have our fair share of social ills at home. But yet we have been blessed to live in America. Our government, while not perfect, represents the interests of the people. The only thing we have to do is participate and the elites will respond. Our economy remains very strong; the gap between rich and poor remains large, but the relative prosperity of the American people remains unprecedented in the world. As for Michael Moore, he is the type who pushes the truth to get the most dramatic affect out of his audience. All the things that BIGBABY listed as quotes of Moore do have an element of truth however. American interests put the Iranian Shah in a position of power after nationalist P.M. Mossadiqh was kicked out of office. Nationalizing their oil fields were against American interests at the time. Kennedy and Johnson let South Vietnamese leader Diem bite the bullet because he was corrupt and ineffective. It led to bigger problems as we all know. Manuel Noriega had ties to the US government, but I wouldn't call him a CIA agent by any stretch of the imagination and I would say the same thing about Osama bin Laden. To take Michael Moore seriously is quite ridiculous. His stuff reads more like a work by Joe Esterhas and Hunter Thompson. The only thing is that those guys have more credibility and are far more humorous than Michael Moore ever has been.
