I concur to some degree with bits of both of the previous entries. My favorite of the three "Kings." Probably due to his later birthdate, Freddie tended to be a little more 'rock' oriented and was adept at covering "newer" (at the time) music while employing his own style. Freddie burned up many a blues and rock stage in his short time playing multiple bills and festivals in the 60's and 70's. I loved his guitar playing but his singing was a bit thin.

Another one who left us too early...my personal favorite of the terrific KING trio (B.B. ,Albert and Freddy). All great, all different. BB the greatest of all of them, but Freddys music was straightforward and no nonsense. If you are a blues player, Freddys' Hideaway is a standard staple.

Way better than BB King- but for some reason less known.
