Three simple (or maybe not so simple) stories about love, pain and death, beautifully told and brilliantly set to a virtuoso guitar accompaniment. The guitar work is like life itself, coming on the scene in a crazy flourish, moving forwards and backwards by turns, and exiting through the same door as entering. Hendrix sounds like a hipster shaman each time he sings/speaks the beautiful refrain. This is the 60's update of Ecclesiastes, a masterpiece from beginning to end, and all in under 3 minutes.
