What can be said about Voodoo Child that hasn't already been said? Every great band has that one song that will keep on being great despite the passage of time. Voodoo Child is that song for Jimi.

The guitar solos on Voodo Child are awesome. It's so difficult to hit all those notes. . .just an incredible song that can't be any lower than Jimi's three best ever. . .

Another shining example of Jimi's total mastery of the blues....in this case he even took them to the next world....don't be late.

This has one of his best solos on it, his others being Highway Chile, Are you experienced, and maybe manic depression.

I always loved this song. It starts strong and doesn't let up until the track is done. Jimi just doesn't know what the word stop means. This song was also featured in Black Hawk Down, as the Rangers were taking off in their Blackhawks... it definately got my blood pumping just watching it. Now that Battlefield:Vietnam is out on PC, I've got this on my custom playlist in-game. This song is perfect to get the adrenaline rushing while cruising across the Vietnamese jungle in a huey. My point is, this song is definately a song that could be used to represent music of the era. I see no better songs to show Jimi's talent, or the attitude of many people at the time of it's release.
