Improving the reception of your microwave sounds like something Al Bundy might do.

This could actually be borderline genius. First the person has to realize that a microwave is a form of an electromagnetic wave, much like the radio wave, something you can tuned into with a receptor. To actually know this is definitely not dumb at all and I bet the average North Americans don't have a clue. Now, if one can actually invent microwave ovens to be able to receive the microwave signals in the air to cook the food in there, it would actually be quite neat. Unfortunately, sending microwave freely in the space we live is probably a bad idea to start with, and the idea would not work in our space anyway since the wavelength of microwave is way too short to be able to be transmitted a long distance before it being stopped by an object.

While you're checking the reception on your microwave, don't forget to check the reception on your brain.
