It could be a great way to honor Christopher Reeves, but if done the wrong way it could be a great way of insulting him! However I heard a rumor my friend Jim Cavesal(well I sort of know him.) was going to play the role.

Don't do it. Four from the 70s/80s were enough. Christopher Reeve was, and still is, Superman.

I have mixed feelings. I am a die hard Superman fan. I think this is a story that could be continued to be told especially with the advancements of CGI, and with a good script, and new actors, new directors we could be in for a treat. However would the audience accept it without Christopher Reeve? Could we get a decent script? Could they respect the mythology? I'd love to see the man of steel back on the big screen if done right.

I'd watch a new Superman movie if the have the decency to move away from the last piece of trash. But Superman never really was an interesting character.

Superman 4 was great and although Christopher Reeve can't return to the role, it would be great to see another Superman movie. Let's keep the Superman-as-good-role-model and not make it angst-ridden like the Hulk movie, though. Also, keep the elements of humor and camp in there too!
