Too edgy for regular viewing but my son who is 30-something loves it. He has some brilliant sketches though and I do find myself laughing out loud at many of them.

Very funny, two of my favorite episodes were the pimp hater awards and the dice game when they get robbed.
crhayes7 02/28/2006
one of my favorite shows to watch. got both seasons on dvd and waiting for the new one to come out hopefully. favorite episode has got to be "Black Bush".
JayNavy 02/07/2006
Very funny stuff. Wayne Brady doing a Training Day/Denzel Washington type character is timeless! Charlie Murphy's Hollywood stories about Rick James is a riot! I love this show.
TEHCAPSLOCK 12/13/2005
*bad attempt to imitate Chappelle in imitating an '80's pop icon*
numbah16tdhaha 12/01/2005
I saw a bit the other day where he said fake Canadian IDs were the solution to our health care problems. Brilliant!
edt4 12/01/2005
One of the funnier shows on TV. Often irreverent, always clever, occasionally laugh-out-loud funny...Bravo Chappelle!
dpostoskie 05/20/2005
Hope he comes back.
the-don 04/30/2005
this is a very good show. there are some hilarious bits as well as some that aren't that great but overall, it is funny. i don't like the damn rap musical guests that are at the end of every episode.
shadowlink 04/19/2005
I haven't seen that many episodes, but what I have seen is real funny.
KandeG 03/28/2005
It has funny moments... but don't blink, you might miss it. It's very low intelligence humor.
emj5687 03/13/2005
chappelle is one of the funniest men out there right now. The white supremacist, and real world skits are hilarious. On the topic of dave chappelle, pick up the dvd Killing Me Softly and you will not be dissapointed.
louiethe20th 02/21/2005
One of modern TV's low points. This guy is very annoying and not that funny.Update:Goes to show where our Country is.I would rather sit and watch Oprah After The Show than this mind rot.

I love the Chappele Show! I love it so much that I'm actually writing a persuasive essay on it. I think everyone is entitled to their opinion, but you have to know what real comedy is, and this is real comedy.
Juliet73 01/06/2005
I'M RICK JAMES B*TCH. Okay, so that is played out, but admit, you laughed when you first heard it. I love Chapelle show, I especially enjoyed, you guessed it, the one with Rick James, Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories. I ALSO LOVED THE ONE WHERE CHAPELLE DID A PARODY OF R.KELLY'S VIDEO! OMFG! SOOOOOOOO FUNNY! I was eaing cereal when I saw it for the first time and spilled everything on the ground. I DONT THINK I'VE EVER LAUGHED THAT HARD! I hope Charlie Murphy is back next season! Can't wait for next season! GO CHAPELLE!
The Slacker 12/23/2004
This is a hilarious show, the skits are funny as hell and David Chappelle is one of the funniest people on TV. One of my favorites.
opinion585 11/13/2004
Classic. I laugh my ass off everytime i see the show. The dvd is great, and is always fun to watch!
southparker9 11/09/2004
Great unafraid sketch comedy. The DVD was the highest selling for a TV show in history. Looking forward to more episodes.
DeathRattle 10/20/2004
To some, Chappelle's Show may be too racey. However, this show has probably been the most shining momentin his entire career (creatively and financially). HE and his co-writer have created very humorous takes on the modern world and certain stereotypes. Congrats. to Dave and Co. for putting on a watchable show, to say the least, on Comedy Central (Something the network has been lacking for a couple of years now).
athf freak 10/13/2004
another kick ass show
skyishone 10/04/2004
Terrible excuse for a show. Comedy Central is losing it's touch. If a white person were to tell racist jokes like Chappelle does he'd be off the air in a second. So much for equality huh?
Faztoken 10/03/2004
funny jokes totally hilarious! As good as who's line haha! Love the jokes, immatations, everything.
Im_A_Let_U_No 10/03/2004
I PLEAD THE THE FIZZZIF! I see I'm not the only one who is wondering about one Eddie Murphy.
King_Porus 10/03/2004
Sometimes it seems like the only thing he does are racist jokes. Why is it OK in our culture for a black comedian to spew racism, but it's considered all but blasphemy if a white comic did similiar jokes? I never understood that.... Chapelle is occassionally funny, but more often he is off-putting and embarassing. Personally, I think this show appeals to folks with latent racist tendencies in their thinking
cromulance 09/29/2004
I guess I just don't get this show. All I ever see from this are played-out racial jokes and excessive usage of the word bitch.
bibliophile 09/29/2004
This show is definitely offbeat, but I LOVE it. I would suggest watching it with an open mind. It is unlikely that anyone who watches this show in its entirety could say that Chappelle is racist or mean-spirited. To the contrary, he exudes a great deal of humanity and a sharp, clever wit. He is very creative and unafraid to experiment. He uses humor to make serious philosophical points about life and human behavior, but the viewer has to open up to the Chappelle experience. The first time I saw this show, I only caught part of it, and I was kind of turned off. But something drew me back and this show really grew on me. I don't like everything he does (for example, his L'il John routine never fails to annoy me). But then think of his good bits. To name a few: When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong, White Power, Player Hater's Ball, Race Draft...I could go on and on. So funny!
alpepper 09/21/2004
The best sketch comedy show since In Living Color during its heyday. Chappelle ain't afraid to take on any racial taboo. He (thankfully) never heard of political correctness. He fills the niche of the Tell it Like it is Black Comic that was once occupied by Richard Pryor in the '70s, Eddie Murphy in the '80s, and the Wayans gang in the '90s. Chappelles spoofs of The Real World, Rick James, and the Black White Supremicist were pee your pants hilarious.
clarkone68 09/16/2004
The funniest show on......
truthordare 08/27/2004
Cutting edge humour. He goes in directions no else does...sometimes he falls flat, and other times he's right on. Love him or hate him, he's always pushing the envelope. Knows that he cannot take himself too seriously because once he does, his show will bite the dust. My only complaint is that if a white comedian were to do some of the things he does, the NAACP would be all over him like white on rice. Double standard, as usual.
ClassicTVFan47 08/25/2004
When I heard how many millions of dollars that the talentless hack that is the star of this show was paid for another season of his completely useless show, my jaw figuratively hit the floor. This show, which seems to be the new star of the ever-disturbing, always-uninspired Comedy Central television network, truly makes me shake my head in sheer disbelief. The show doesnt even pretend to be remotely friendly to families or good guys, the commercials are filled with toxic garbage like bleeped profanity, illegal drug use, and violent acts. Worse than that, the show is completely uninspired. Lets face it, biting social commentary is getting oldalmost every show seems to be doing it? Where have all the good-natured writers gone? They havent gone to this shows writing staff, which is for sure! The show completely lacks a role modelunless they are mocking one of course. There is also a disturbing layer of racism. If the colors of these jokes were reversed, the NAACP would be picketing Comedy Central in a heartbeat. The acting is completely flat, with not an inspired performance to be found. The show is also quite cheap, complete with bleeped profanities and more. Finally, in a disturbing trend, the DVD release is uncensored, meaning the verbal filth contained in this show is let out with no regrets or care.
platypus 08/22/2004
this show is hilarious. no matter how racialy sensitive you are, you've got to admit that a black white supremecist is a funny concept. i actually like the first season better but lots of the second season skits are still funny.
fezzador 08/13/2004
One of the few really funny shows on Comedy Central (when Comedy Central isn't the funniest network available, that's sad). What makes this show successful is that it depicts the world as it is, isn't afraid to make racial/stereotypical jokes (but always is careful not to cross the line) and makes fun of other (usually black) celebrities. The material is fresh, but I wish they'd have reruns during the afternoon since I'm usually busy in the evening.
marilynfan 08/12/2004
that show is hilarious I WATCH IT ALL THE TIME i REALLY LIKE IT.
Feathers10 08/02/2004
It has its moments. Somedays I can watch it and burst out laughing, other days I think it was far too disturbing.I don't believe the show caters to racism, even though some of the jokes are too crude for my liking. The man is just making fun of real life situations. I must say though, the time he had Wayne Brady on his show was one of the funniest skits I have seen in a long time.
Miggizle 07/15/2004
You can't deny something when it's so blazingly clear. This show is a laugh riot. To those who are critical about how edgy the comedy is, DON'T WATCH! Ohterwise shut the hell up and stop tryng to deny the truth. This show is funny to those of us who live in the real world, where everything isn't all cup cakes and rainbows.
zuchinibut 07/06/2004
Chappelle's Show is hilarious. I dont think people should be so offended by racial humor. Differences exist between races in the United States, and Dave isn't afraid to make fun of them. And if somebody thinks Dave Chappelle has no talent, then I don't want to know what they think is funny.
liko 07/05/2004
How is it racist if one of the head writers is white?
jgls 06/27/2004
it is quite refreshing to see someone have so much joy in being politically incorrect.
ADFan112 06/16/2004
The best sketch comedy since Mr. Show left HBO in 1998.
sonofashepherd 05/25/2004
This is a very good show, don't be jealous of dave just because he's become a successful black man.
VinnyIN 05/17/2004
I'm rich, biotch!!!! This has to be the funniest show out there right now! I love it!
cdmphy 04/30/2004
Holy crap this is the best sketch comedy ever. How canit be so low
Jed1000 04/23/2004
I thought Colin Quinn's show was the worst thing on Comedy Central until they came up with this dog. No, it's not the racial/edgy humor that bothers me... it's how badly it's done here. Lame.
HloKty 04/22/2004
I agree with Yeaya - this show is the best of all time. I can't wait to rent Season I on DVD.
RunsWithWhiteW olves 03/23/2004
